In Changchun in March, the pause button was pressed because of the epidemic. On March 21, I received a notice of emergency assembly from the hospital, asking me if I would like to participate in the frontline anti-epidemic work, and I immediately and firmly replied: "I do!" "As a health care worker, it's a responsibility and a mission. Afraid that my parents would be worried, I didn't tell them, so I silently packed my luggage and went straight to the hospital to assemble.
We rushed to the North Lake Olympic Sports Center Basketball Hall Cabin Hospital, and after arriving, we quickly made protection and began to enter the cabin. In the next few hours, receiving patients, collecting information, cleaning, disinfecting, etc., protective clothing, isolation gowns, rubber gloves, shoe covers and other seemingly lightweight items were found "thick as iron" after wearing them on the body. In the protective clothing, the sound of one's own heartbeat, rapid breathing, and the roar of the ears are particularly obvious, and it turns out that this is the world in the protective clothing. At the end of each day's work, my clothes were already soaked, and my face was also a series of deep strangulation marks. But seeing that the number of patients is decreasing day by day and the number of empty beds is increasing, I am full of fighting spirit.
In the square cabin, the most meaningful job for me is to soothe the patient's emotions, encourage them to face up to the disease, and actively cooperate with the treatment. There are several small patients in the ward I am in charge of, I prepare paintbrushes and paper for them, share snacks with them, tell them stories, and whenever I receive thanks from small patients and parents, I feel that my efforts and hard work are worth it.
What impressed me the most was a 9-year-old girl who would take out her textbooks on time every day to study, but due to the tension and anxiety of the new environment, she rarely communicated with people, and after understanding her situation, I took the initiative to communicate with her, accompanied her to write homework, tell stories, draw, send her yogurt and apples, and let her adapt to the environment of the cabin hospital faster. Slowly, she began to become lively, taking the initiative to talk to the people around her, and often sharing her learning experience with us. One day, she said to me, "Sister Dabai, you dress like this every day, and I don't know you when I meet you on the road later." "Actually, I want to say that you don't need to know me, as long as you are discharged safely and healthily, it is the happiest thing for me."
When the spring blossoms, the epidemic dissipates, and everyone smiles, you and I will see each other again. Jilin will eventually have auspicious temporary, Changchun will return to the usual spring!
