The wind and snow come, and the flowers are sent. In 2022, we were in Changchun, more than 2,000 kilometers away from home, dressed in battle robes, experienced winter and spring, felt the warmth of the world, and added a strong stroke of color to our life journey.
For 40 days, we witnessed the city go from silence and withering vegetation to spring blossoms and greenery. The worry when we came, the reluctance when we left, the struggle around the clock, in this heroic city, we spilled sweat, tears and surging blood.
On the way back, I would like to talk about the precious qualities of the team members.
Bravery, this is the rock that the players hide in the depths of their hearts. The reason why retrogrades are valuable is because retrogrades know that there are difficulties and obstacles ahead, but they move forward without complaint or regret. Before coming to Changchun on March 14, thousands of cases of new crown pneumonia were reported here, but none of us flinched, giving up our small homes and taking care of everyone. Elderly parents at home, young children, lovers who bite their teeth to support us, who says we have no concerns? With dozens of positive samples passing through your fingertips, and the closest distance to the virus, who says we have no worries? However, overcoming all odds and going backwards is the original intention that all the players have never changed.
Perseverance runs through every detail of the work from beginning to end. A simple opening and screwing of the lid sounds simple and not difficult to do. But when repeated 3,000 times a night, the bones, muscles, ligaments, and skin of the hands remember the damage they have suffered, protest against the body, and issue various warnings. However, the resolute team members quickly forgot about these pains and riveted to meet the next shift of surging specimens. Sending one, hundreds, nucleic acid reports is not difficult for us professionals, but when sending thousands of reports, it is an incredibly difficult job. Standing for seven or eight hours without sitting down, constantly climbing up and down, countless repeated checks, and more than ten hours of zero tolerance of mental tension, challenging the limits of the human body. However, the resolute team members endured physical discomfort, reduced rest, ate, did not let the machine leave empty for an extra minute, and did not issue a wrong report. For many consecutive days, the day and night are reversed, lack of sleep and sleep make our biological clock chaotic and difficult to sleep, and various sleep-aiding drugs have become sought-after goods. However, the gritty players have never slackened off in their work.
Unity is the magic weapon for the final victory of the battle. Nucleic acid testing is not a one-man show, but a battle in which the whole team fights side by side. We have a meticulous division of labor, more than ten positions: reagent preparation, reagent packaging, specimen reception, specimen addition, nucleic acid extraction, sampling, capping, amplification instrument on the machine, amplification instrument off the machine, result analysis, result reporting, each link is meticulous, only sincere unity, mutual cooperation, in order to ensure quality and quantity to complete the testing task. After each exhaustion, seeing the bright smiling faces of our companions and hearing the gentle encouragement and encouragement of our companions made us believe that victory was not far ahead.
We can't control the length of life, but because we have the excellent qualities of bravery, perseverance, unity, seriousness, rigor, selfless dedication, etc., we have broadened the breadth and breadth of life.
There are few dreams in life. 40 days of struggle is an unforgettable dream for us to stay in this city, this stadium. Many years later, when we have two sideburns and frost, when we talk about this battle, we will only remember the friendship of our teammates working together; we will only remember the joy of victory; we will only remember the dumplings that the staff of the Changchun Organ Affairs Bureau personally wrapped for us before we left; we will only remember the cheers of the people of Changchun shouting at us in the residential buildings in the morning, and those hardships and bitterness have only become the wind chimes of the dream.
