Writing picture books to pay tribute to the anti-epidemic "retrogrades" with a paintbrush

During the epidemic prevention and control period, one morning, I saw a photo on the "Shanghai Jiading" public account, in which a medical worker wearing protective clothing sorted out medical waste in the dark night, and the white protective clothing and yellow garbage bag were very conspicuous in the dark background, and I was immediately touched.

Ye Zhiqiu told reporters that at that moment she deeply felt that life did not press the pause button, and these "retrogrades" were still nervously racing against time and fighting against the virus every day, "so I wanted to pick up a paintbrush to record what they looked like." ”

Since being based on photos

The watercolor painting "Pick Up" is completed

Ye Zhiqiu's creative enthusiasm was also ignited

She began to keep basing herself on those

Impress yourself with your own photos to create watercolor paintings

Watercolor paintings by Ye Zhiqiu

This is not the first time Ye Zhiqiu has created such paintings

During the 2020 pandemic

She's based on some moving photos on the web

Painted a set of watercolors

"This time is different from 2020

Those painted in 2020 are photos that are looking for them on the Internet

Not necessarily shanghai

And this time it was

The unsung heroes of the fight against the epidemic around us. ”

To better tell the children

The anti-epidemic stories of the "retrogrades"

Ye Zhiqiu also created watercolor paintings of his own

Compiled into a picture book story

"As a young teacher,

Although we cannot fight the epidemic on the front line,

But I can tell the children in the form of paintings,

As long as you move forward firmly, you can get out of the epidemic. Ye Zhiqiu said.

"I'm an ordinary healthcare worker.

This spring, I'm starting to get busy again.

Every morning I go to a different neighborhood,

Collect nucleic acids for the inhabitants..."

In this picture book called "Toward the Light"

Ye Zhiqiu accompanied the watercolor painting with text

It tells about the anti-epidemic work of medical workers

And expressed confidence in defeating the epidemic:

"We have an optimistic attitude,

We have solid arms,

We firmly believe that one day,

You can see the spring colors of the garden without looking through the goggles..."

The road seems difficult

But we will always move towards the Light

Encourage and guide children to record the anti-epidemic stories around them

Born in 1997, Ye Zhiqiu has loved to draw since she was a child, and under the influence of her mother, who was a teacher, she also chose to become an art teacher after graduating from Shanghai University majoring in fine arts. At the beginning of 2020, the outbreak of the new crown epidemic, Ye Zhiqiu, who had worked for less than a year, encountered online teaching. "At first, I was still a little flustered, and I didn't know how to tell the children what I wanted to tell online, but then I slowly became familiar with it through relevant training."

Since March 12 this year, all primary and secondary schools in Shanghai have been adjusted to online teaching, and Ye Zhiqiu has ushered in online teaching for the second time. As the school's art team leader, she undertook the art teaching task of 8 classes in the third grade this semester, and there were 16 lessons a week during offline teaching, and after changing to online teaching, the art classes of 8 classes could be "simulcast", but they also had to conduct online interactive Q&A.

These third-grade children, they have experienced online teaching in the first grade, so the online class as a whole is still more conscious, even the first and second grade children, under the guidance of parents and homeroom teachers, are also better involved in the online art class.

In the interaction of online art classes

Ye Zhiqiu shared his anti-epidemic watercolor paintings with the children

Encourage everyone to look for it

And discover the touching anti-epidemic stories around you

Document these unsung heroes with a paintbrush

With her encouragement and drive

"Art is a creation from the heart, and if you have a sense of truth in your heart, you can express it through the brush." In Ye Zhiqiu's view, the process of creating anti-epidemic theme paintings is like using a paintbrush to say to those medical staff and volunteers who are moving forward, "You have really worked hard", "I hope that children can also learn the spirit of the unsung heroes of the fight against the epidemic in the process of finding, discovering and creating anti-epidemic stories." ”
