Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and Minister for Social and Family Development Ma Shan-ko, together with a number of female Ministers of State and Deputy Ministers, opened the exhibition.

The free exhibition is divided into three sections to give visitors an insight into the three stages of Singapore's journey towards a fairer and more inclusive society.

Using augmented reality technology, the exhibition takes visitors back in time to 1961-2019 to explore the efforts of Singapore's pioneers to promote the development of singaporean women.

The first is how to ensure that women are treated fairly in the workplace.

On the other hand, how to better support female caregivers.

The third aspect is how to strengthen the protection of women.

Then the fourth and fifth aspects are how to help women in need, and how to change some of the stereotypes of women in society.

The exhibition also shared the stories and contributions of many female development advocates, including Chen Peiling, who advocates for the topic of stay-at-home mothers. She shared how she spoke for stay-at-home moms.

"Actually, I always try to make people around me realize that stay-at-home moms also have their own problems, so I try to get stay-at-home moms to get together as much as possible and talk."

This year, Singapore launched its first white paper on women's development, which will promote women's status through 25 action plans over the next 10 years to create a fairer and more inclusive society.

Singapore held 160 national dialogues from September last year to september last year, collecting the views of nearly 6,000 Singaporeans on women's development and integrating feedback into a white paper. One of the women's exhibition sections will introduce the main points of the white paper, which can be selected on site through an interactive platform to provide feedback.

The exhibition has three areas, introducing the history from 1961 to the present, and also features some enhanced real mirror elements for visitors to have an interactive experience. For example, you can take photos and punch cards, and leave messages to support women's development. You can also participate in the Q&A event to receive a limited edition "Celebrate Singapore Women" NETS Flashpay.

The exhibition is currently on display at the Lion City Tower until the 3rd of next month.
