Affected by the epidemic, the baby's vaccination has been postponed, how to replant

Today is April 25, also the "National Child Vaccination Day", and this year's theme is "Timely Vaccination, Protect Life and Health".

Affected by the epidemic, the baby's vaccination has been postponed, how to replant

However, in recent years, affected by the new coronavirus pneumonia epidemic, many babies have postponed the vaccination of immunization program vaccines, especially when the epidemic has rebounded again, which has upset many parents and mothers.

Go to the hospital for vaccinations, so you are worried about the risk of contracting the virus!

If the vaccination time is exceeded, does it have any impact on the dolls?

If a catch-up vaccine is needed, is it still useful to have been given before?

Which vaccines can be postponed?

Everyone's concerns are understandable. The Child Health Branch of the Chinese Preventive Medicine Association organized disease prevention and vaccination group experts to put forward the "Analysis of the Safety and Efficacy of Delayed Vaccination of Immunization Programs and Suggestions for Vaccination During the Epidemic of Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia", which you can seriously study.

During the epidemic prevention and control period, the safety and efficacy of vaccine delay vaccination in immunization programs and the key points of revaccination

01 BCG seedlings

The vaccination procedure is to give as soon as possible after birth.

Reason for the delay

Failure to vaccinate in time after birth is most common in neonatal diseases, i.e., short-term or temporary contraindications, such as immunocompromised or defective, progressive neurological disorders, severe eczema, etc.

Replanting points

1) When there are short-term/temporary contraindications or delayed vaccination caused by the epidemic, it can be re-implanted in time after the disease or vaccination conditions are restored.

2) Children < 3 months old can be directly replanted. Failure to vaccinate over 3 months of age requires a skin test first.

3) Children aged 3 months to 3 years who have a negative test of tuberculin pure protein derivatives or BCG protein derivatives should be replanted.

4) Children aged ≥ 4 years old will not be replanted. Children who have been vaccinated with BCG are no longer re-implanted even if the card marks are not formed.

02 Hepatitis B Vaccine (HepB)

The vaccination procedure is 0-1-6 months of age, i.e. one dose each within 24 hours of birth, 1 month of age and 6 months of age.

Reason for the delay

Failure to vaccinate hepatitis B within 24 hours of life is most common in neonatal diseases, i.e., short-term or temporary contraindications. During an outbreak, most babies may face a delay in their second or third dose.

Replanting points

1) When there are short-term/temporary contraindications or delayed vaccination caused by the epidemic, it can be re-implanted in time after the disease or vaccination conditions are restored.

2) For those who have not completed the full immunization procedure at more than 12 months of age, they need to be revaccinated as soon as possible to make up for the unvaccinated doses.

03 Poliovirus vaccine (PV)

The vaccination procedure is a basic dose at 2-3-4 months of age and a booster dose at 4 years of age. Starting in 2020, the first two doses will be replaced by inactivated poliovirus vaccine (IPV) in the first two doses to replace the previous attenuated poliovirus vaccine (OPV). Combination vaccines containing polio vaccine components can also be used as an alternative.

Reason for the delay

In the current pandemic, infants may face delayed vaccination in 3 situations:

1) 2 months of age has not yet been vaccinated;

2) the 1st or 2nd dose is given, and the 2 or 3 doses are delayed;

3) At the age of 4 years, the 4th dose is delayed.

Replanting points

1) After the vaccination conditions are restored, priority will be given to re-vaccination of this vaccine.

2) For children who are late in planting or missing seeds, the corresponding doses can be re-implanted, and there is no need to restart the whole process of vaccination.

3) If the child has been vaccinated with inactivated poliovirus vaccine single vaccine or a combination vaccine containing polio vaccine components according to the vaccine instructions, it can be regarded as the completion of the corresponding dose of polio vaccination.

04 Cell-free DTP vaccine (DTaP)

The vaccination procedure is basal doses at 3-4-5 months of age and boosters at 18 months of age.

Reason for the delay

In the current pandemic, infants may face delayed vaccination in three situations:

1) Have not been vaccinated at the age of 3 months;

2) the 1st or 2nd dose is given, and the 2 or 3 doses are delayed;

3) At the age of 18 months, the 4th dose is delayed.

Replanting points

1) After the vaccination conditions are restored, priority will be given to re-vaccination of this vaccine.

2) For infants who have not been vaccinated with any dose of DTP vaccine, it is difficult to prevent the onset of whooping cough within 2 months of age because they are basically unable to obtain maternally transmitted protective antibodies. If vaccination cannot be obtained in a short period of time, it is recommended to strictly isolate at home and the guardian should take protective measures.

3) Children aged 3 months to 5 years who have not completed the prescribed dose of dtaponite need to reseat the unfinished dose, the first three doses are ≥ 28 days apart each dose, and the interval between the 4th dose and the 3rd dose is ≥ 6 months.

05 A-group flow cerebral polysaccharide vaccine (MPSV-A)

The vaccination procedure is 1 dose each at 6 and 9 months of age. The A-group C cerebral polysaccharide vaccine (MPSV-AC) vaccination procedure is 1 dose for 3 years of age and 6 years of age.

Reason for the delay

In the current pandemic, infants may face delayed vaccination in three situations:

1) Have not been vaccinated at the age of 6 months;

2) 1 dose was given, the 2nd dose was delayed;

3) Delay in doses at 3 or 6 years of age.

Replanting points

1) < 24-month-old children to supplement the A group of cerebral polysaccharide vaccine doses.

2) ≥ 24-month-old children supplement the A group C cerebral polysaccharide vaccine dose times, and no longer resynchronize the A group cerebral polysaccharide vaccine.

3) A group C fluffy cerebral polysaccharide vaccine two doses of intervals ≥ 3 years, and repeated vaccination should be avoided within 3 years.

4) For children ≤ 18 months of age, if the prescribed doses have been given according to the instructions for the flow brain conjugate vaccine, it can be regarded as the completion of the basic immunization of the flow brain vaccine; the booster immunization should be 1 dose of the flow brain polysaccharide vaccine at the age of 3 and 6 years old.
