The Consensus provides a new direction for the application of hyaluronic acid in dermatological medicine

"Expert Consensus on the Rational Selection and Application of Hyaluronic Acid with Different Relative Molecular Masses and Structures" was published in the medical professional journal World Clinical Drugs on April 8. This is the first expert consensus on hyaluronic acid in skin application, jointly written by dermatologists from well-known hospitals from Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Chongqing and other places and Bloomage Biological R&D experts, based on scientific research, providing dermatologists with scientific application suggestions for different molecular weights and molecular structures of hyaluronic acid (commonly known as "hyaluronic acid", HA).

Professor Li Bin, a well-known dermatologist in China and president of Shanghai Dermatology Hospital, said at the press conference that "hyaluronic acid can be used as a method of eczema dermatitis treatment in the future, as an important weapon for the general policy of 'dynamic zeroing and unshakable' of recurrent eczema dermatitis", hyaluronic acid will open up a new direction for skin disease treatment.

At present, most people's understanding of hyaluronic acid stays on a beauty material or skin care ingredient, and even only thinks that hyaluronic acid is a "moisturizer" or "dermal filler", and there is still a lack of all-round understanding of the efficacy of hyaluronic acid topical application with different molecular weights and different molecular structures. Previously, there has been a lack of medical-grade hyaluronic acid application research reports for dermatologists.

The "Consensus" made a professional explanation around the dimensions of "classification and source of hyaluronic acid, physiological function of natural endogenous HA skin, the role and mechanism of exogenous HA on the skin, dermatological indications, reasonable selection of usage, dosage and relative molecular quality, quality control and efficacy verification, safety and contraindications", and provided clinical experimental basis; at the same time, the efficacy of oral HA was also elaborated in terms of usage. This will provide dermatologists with a variety of solutions for hyaluronic acid applied to skin diseases, and then also radiate public awareness, giving full play to the efficacy of hyaluronic acid of different molecular weights and different molecular structures on skin care.

Yuan Chao, chief physician of Shanghai Dermatology Hospital, introduced at the press conference that hyaluronic acid with different molecular weights and molecular structures can play different roles in clinical indications, such as skin beauty, adjuvant treatment of skin diseases, postoperative care (sunscreen, skin laser), drug delivery system, etc. It is clearly stated that hyaluronic acid can not only be used for moisturizing and filling, but also has repairing, anti-inflammatory, and healing effects, which can play an important role in the repair of the skin barrier that dermatologists are very concerned about. Hyaluronic acid has great potential in the clinical application of dermatology.

Dr. Liu Zhe from Bloomage Biological Research and Development Center explained the role of oral hyaluronic acid on skin health in the Consensus, and introduced that many foreign scholars have published academic journal articles saying that through the double-blind test of oral HA, it was found that oral HA can improve skin aging symptoms, improve skin gloss and flexibility, etc., and oral HA has not been found under experimental conditions higher than the current upper limit of the recommended dose of the National Health Commission.

The medical community and enterprises combine to exert the maximum effect of hyaluronic acid skin care

How to give full play to the maximum effect of hyaluronic acid in skin care, break the limitations of "single molecular weight" and "single effect" in the research and development and application of hyaluronic acid skin care mechanism, and promote the development of the upstream and downstream industrial chain of hyaluronic acid is a common issue faced by the whole industry. Authoritative dermatological experts and Bloomage Biologics, the world's leading hyaluronic acid company, formed a powerful expert group to explore the skin care mechanism of hyaluronic acid with different molecular weights and molecular structures through scientific research, and provide scientific guidance for medical-grade skin care.

The data shows that Made in China delivers 75% of hyaluronic acid to the world, of which Bloomage's hyaluronic acid market accounts for 43%. In the three industrial revolutions of hyaluronic acid, Bloomage Biology has led the latter two times, one is the large-scale production of hyaluronic acid by microbial fermentation method, which replaces the animal tissue extraction method, so that the yield of hyaluronic acid that was more expensive than gold in the past has been greatly improved, and the cost has been reduced so that it can be used for the general public; the second is the world's first enzymatic digestion method to produce oligomeric hyaluronic acid, which can accurately control the molecular weight of hyaluronic acid and greatly expand its application range.

The quality and variety of Bloomage Bio Hyaluronic Acid remain at the leading level in the world, with pharmaceutical grade, cosmetic grade, food grade all categories of hyaluronic acid, more than 200 specifications and varieties, to achieve the diversification of efficacy and application scenarios.

For example, nanoHA with a molecular weight of less than 10,000 Da obtained through the patented technology "enzymatic resection method" not only has a moisturizing effect, but also repairs damaged cells and scavenges free radicals; and the Hyacros hyaluronic acid elastomer obtained through crosslinking technology can not only lock water and store water for the skin, but also resist the invasion of the skin by ultraviolet rays, dust, haze and other external environments; semi-embedded structure of acetylated hyaluronic acid (Hymagic-AcHA) - highly effective softening factor, both hydrophilic and lipophilic, It can double moisturize, repair the keratin barrier, improve skin elasticity and other bioactive functions. These are all new hyaluronic acid raw materials that Bloomage has innovated and developed by Changing the molecular size and structure of hyaluronic acid with technology.

At the "Consensus" press conference, Yuan Chao, chief physician of Shanghai Dermatology Hospital, specifically mentioned Bloomage's crosslinking technology - gradient 3D crosslinking, which makes hyaluronic acid have more excellent physical and chemical properties and mechanical strength, broadens the application scope of hyaluronic acid in the human body, and helps dermatologists to conduct deeper skin care research.

At the same time, Bloomage also actively leads or participates in the establishment of industry standards. He led the formulation of five national industry standards in China, and was invited to participate in the revision of the European Pharmacopoeia, the United States Pharmacopoeia, and the Chinese Pharmacopoeia, which improved the overall level of the industry while standardizing the development of the industry.

As Professor Li Linfeng of Beijing Friendship Hospital affiliated to Capital Medical University mentioned, the release of the Consensus, on the one hand, provides a diversified medical-grade skin care solution for hyaluronic acid, which truly opens up the "integration" of skin disease treatment and skin care, so that skin disease treatment can get rid of the past single rely on drug treatment, medical equipment and other means; on the other hand, by strengthening the research and application of hyaluronic acid skin care effects, the development of local makeup brands can be promoted. The release of the "Consensus" is in line with the needs of the times for the scientific use and scientific evaluation of hyaluronic acid, and meets the health and beauty needs of the public while ensuring the accurate use of hyaluronic acid.
