EDIT: Director General

On Friday (April 22), a netizen posted a series of suspected chats between Tesla CEO Elon Musk and Bill Gates on Twitter.

In the chat record, Musk asked Gates: Are you still holding a $500 million Tesla short?

Gates admits that he does have it, but he wants to talk about the possibility of philanthropy more than this.

Musk replied: With all due respect, I can no longer look directly at your so-called "climate charity" because Tesla is the company that pays the most for climate change.

The netizen Ait Musk asked whether it was true. Musk replied in the affirmative, and innocently said: It was not me who leaked the chat history to the New York Times, and besides, many people know that Gates is bearish on Tesla, which is not a real secret.

Musk then tweeted separately: The Barbarians are at the Gate, pun intended: "The Barbarians are on the side of gate".

He then posted a photo of Bill Gates' belly with text: In case you need to lose weight quickly, he said the tweet would be "throttled."

The above output triggered a bloody "discussion" among netizens.

Musk Sharp Review: ESG ratings don't make any sense

After surfing for 15 hours, Musk returned to the "main battlefield" and replied to the content posted by netizen Brett Winton: Bill Gates has nothing wrong with shorting Tesla. Tesla's ESG rating was only average and was rated as "inconsistent" with climate targets. As long as he goes long with the same amount of Shell Oil (ESG rating higher than Tesla), there is no hypocrisy at all. Very good.

Musk seems to have gone viral: ESG ratings make no sense. (ESG ratings don't make any sense at all)

Musk then replied to netizen Pranay Pathole to post content: Bill Gates preached to solve the problem of climate change, but continued to short Tesla. Tesla is the only company that has made significant progress in tackling climate change and accelerating the emergence of sustainable energy. By shorting Tesla, Gates proved that he didn't care about climate change.

Musk replied: Yeah (that said)

It feels like a punch in the cotton is Bill Gates' specialty

This plot is all too familiar! Decades ago, Bill Gates "fell in love" with another "tech maniac" and Musk's idol, Apple founder Steve Jobs.

According to Silicon Valley engineer Andy Hertzfield, Gates resented Jobs's rudeness and his tendency to "either think you're inferior or try to seduce and encourage you." In Jobs's view, Gates was too narrow-minded. Jobs once said, "If he had taken hallucinogens or meditated when he was young, his whole mind would have been more open." ”

With a friendlier graphic design, Gates put Microsoft ahead of Apple. During the private presentation, the emotional Jobs almost cried and had to admit that Apple had failed. Gates became very calm. "When others are emotional, it is more beneficial to me because I am less excited."

Bill Gates may have been "lying flat" and maybe his divorce was partly for that?

Musk and Gates aren't the first time they've been on the line either.

At the beginning of 2020, Gates was relentless in criticizing Musk: I think he made rockets and electric cars well, but it is best not to talk nonsense in areas (vaccines) that he is completely unfamiliar with. Also, the electric car I bought was the Porsche Taycon, and the experience was not bad.

Musk posted about this: Every time I talk to Gates, I get angry, and the gossip about Bill Gates and me being a pair is completely false. Netizens joked: Only true lovers will "debunk rumors" like this.

After the quarterly report, most of the market is bullish on Tesla

Tesla posted its Q1 2022 results after hours last Wednesday that exceeded market expectations. According to the earnings report, Tesla's adjusted earnings per share in the first quarter were $3.22, the market expected $2.26; revenue increased by 81% year-on-year to $18.76 billion, a record high for three consecutive quarters, and the market expected $17.78 billion; net profit was $3.318 billion, and the market expected $2.156 billion.

According to financial reports, ARK predicted in a report released on Thursday night local time that Tesla's stock price will reach $4600 by 2026, meaning it will rise 3.67 times from the current $985.

In addition, Credit Suisse raised tesla price targets to $1125 to maintain a "outperform" rating; Deutsche Bank maintained Tesla's buy rating, with the latest price target of $1250.

In terms of bearish opinions, Citi and JPMorgan Chase believe that Tesla may have restrictions on growth, but still raised the target price.

Laura Hoy, an analyst at British financial services firm Hargreaves Lansdown, questioned the sustainability of Tesla's record-breaking profit margins, and now market expectations are too optimistic that the stock price has been pulled up too much.

Do you think Tesla will continue to rise? Leave a message and share your views with the director~
