Unfortunately, because the understanding of the forty times after the Dream of the Red Chamber has always been under the shroud of the "High Continuation Fallacy", it naturally leads people to preconceived notions that "dropping the bag" is Gao Osprey's clumsy means, and even becomes the focus of the most widely publicized tart in the entire last forty times.
The author searched for the keywords of "drop bag meter" or "package adjustment meter" on the China Knowledge Network, and only about 10 articles were obtained, all of which proved how bad Gao Osprey was and how clumsy the "drop bag meter" was. Searching on Baidu, although the number has risen sharply, its evaluation is no different. Such a situation cannot but be distressing. However, later the Dream of the Red Chamber was not written in this way, and the obvious possible reason was the death of Yuan Chun in the 95th and the illness before. In fact, the reason for Bao Dai's love tragedy is not completely written as due to the designation or interference of Yuan Chun, and the attribution of its main cause to the will of the parents is deeper and more convenient to unfold the plot and more flexible. Details below).

In the conversation between Yuan Chun and Jia Mu mentioned above that Jia Mu "really remembers Bao Yu", did Yuan Chun mention Bao Yu's marriage in the end? Explicitly, only things such as "reading" and "writing poetry" are mentioned, which is the same concern she cared about when she was provincial.
But logically, in addition to reading, she should also mention Baoyu's "personal affairs", and even mention the Baochao she likes in her heart. Although this passage of Jia Mu's words is only purely family routine, and does not directly involve the affairs of Bao Yu and Dai Yu, we can see that in Jia Mu's eyes, the standard for finding a granddaughter-in-law is better than that of Dai Yu.

Therefore, although in the first 80 times we rarely saw Jia Mu come out to deal with such things directly, it seems that Madame Wang rushed forward alone, that is because there is nothing that necessarily requires the "old lady Jun" to come out and "settle the qiankun". And once something happens, Jia Mu actually has the same moral standards as Madame Wang. In the future, we will also see that in the whole process of "dropping the bag", Jia Mu's series of words and actions best show this characteristic of Jia Mu as the head of a large family, compared with the tall old lady in Ba Jin's "Home".
