The outer folding model has one less external screen than the inner folding, which can theoretically reduce some of the weight, coupled with Huawei's more mature hinge scheme, the weight of the Mate Xs 2 is expected to be further reduced. The folding model is more integrated and the grip is more dominant.
As for why most of the manufacturers are not optimistic about the external folding program, Xiao Lei believes that it is still related to the life and anti-fall, everyone knows that the folding screen is stacked inside very precisely, the hinge and the screen are relatively fragile, whether the outer folding model is folded or unfolded, the screen will be exposed, and the risk of falling damage is often higher. Besides, if the inner fold is broken, there is another screen, and the outer fold screen is broken and cannot be used.
At present, Huawei Mate Xs 2 has passed the network access audit of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the machine runs Harmony OS and is equipped with Kirin 9000 4G chip. Xiao Lei believes that the new machine may also be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon flagship chip, screen and other configurations will be upgraded, but the price will certainly not be cheap to where to go, and small partners who are interested in the external folding model can look forward to it.
