On April 7, Lantu Dreamer officially opened the pre-sale, the pre-price range of the seven-seat version is 380,000 to 480,000 yuan, and the four-seat customized version is pre-priced from 600,000 yuan. The Dreamer is lantu's second model, based on ESSA's native intelligent electric architecture, positioned in the high-end MPV market of public business, and it also hopes to attract some private users. From the perspective of the overall design style, the dreamer is biased towards the atmosphere and stability, using a large number of flat lines to highlight the sense of volume and stability of the vehicle. Official news shows that the Dreamer's range extender is different from the previous FREE, not only the thermal efficiency reaches more than 40%, the NVH performance is also better, but also supports the direct drive of the wheel when the speed reaches more than 70km/h, to achieve the goal of improving transmission efficiency and reducing energy consumption. In addition, the motor is also switched from an AC asynchronous motor to a permanent magnet synchronous motor, reducing energy consumption.
In terms of chassis structure, the Dreamer adopts independent front double wishbone, independent suspension of rear five connecting rods, and is equipped with front and rear soft and hard/high and low adjustable air suspension + CDC shock absorption control system. The price range of Xena is 309,800 to 405,800 yuan, and the high-end model of Buick GL8, GL8 ES Luzun, has a starting price of 317,900 yuan. Because Lantu Dreamer is a new energy vehicle, it can enjoy the purchase tax concessions, which also narrows the price gap between it and Xena and GL8 ES Luzun; taking the official price of 309,800 yuan of Sai Na entry-level models as an example, the purchase tax it needs to pay is about 27,000 yuan, if it is to choose a higher price model, the purchase tax will further rise, will exceed 30,000 yuan. From the perspective of the total purchase cost of consumers, Lantu Dreamer may be equivalent to the same configuration OF GL8 ES Lu Zun and Xena.
From the perspective of the birth time of the brand, Lantu is the new face of the automobile market, but it is essentially different from Weilai and Xiaopeng, which have recently been involved in the automotive industry, and it is a high-end new energy brand created by Dongfeng Motor to integrate related resources, which is why the official prefers to define it as "new strength in car manufacturing" rather than new forces.
Lantu's first model, FREE, is positioned in the medium-sized SUV market, with an official price range of 31.36-36.36 million yuan; although it has not been on the market for a long time, it has won the favor of some consumers with its good product strength and high cost performance. The good performance of FREE has also laid a good brand foundation for the Lantu brand.
Compared with FREE, the future market trend of Dreamer is more worth looking forward to, on the one hand, the domestic MPV market demand is increasing, more and more private consumers will choose MPV as the second car in their home, on the other hand, the reason is that the MPV market optional models are much less than the SUV market.
Lantu Dreamer is not a model that wins by low price, but hopes to impress consumers through product power, such as the rare air suspension, rich intelligent configuration and outstanding acceleration of class models; at the same time, as a mid-to-high-end MPV, Lantu's interior materials are also worthy of praise.
