A few days ago, at the brand launch of Lincoln Night, Lincoln released a new Star Concept concept car, which will show Lincoln's vision for the future of electric vehicles. At the press conference, Lincoln also said that he would launch three pure electric products by 2025.
The exterior can be seen that this Lincoln Star Concept is positioned as a pure electric SUV, in which Lincoln uses a metal lattice structure on both A and D pillars, making it visible. Not only that, but the front hood has also been made of electrochromic glass that allows light to enter while driving and is colored to hide what's inside when parking. In addition to this, the roof was also covered with a huge glass roof, and Lincoln wanted to convey a very open mobile space through the Star Concept.
In the interior presentation, Lincoln highlighted the features of the in-car fragrance system, which included providing three different ambience experiences, through the day of morning, afternoon and evening, to develop three sets of fragrance experiences that can "rejuvenate the mood". This includes not only the sense of smell, but also the combination of sight and hearing.
In the morning, for example, the interior of the car will automatically adjust to the Costal Morning environment, where warm light, ocean sounds and scents reminiscent of sea fog will be combined. In the late afternoon, the system switches to the Mindful Vitality environment, designed to allow you to spend a lazy afternoon with floral scents, optimistic sounds and natural soft light. Finally, at night, the interior of the car will become Evening Chill, conveying an evergreen smell through the evening soundtrack and night sky video.
Of course, in addition to this on-board fragrance system, the Lincoln Star Concept has many highlights, an ultra-wide display that spans the entire center console, and can rotate the front passenger seat and the rear two independent seats 180° rotation. Lincoln didn't specify the level of self-driving capabilities, but Star Concept does promise to deliver a lot of technology using the next-generation Lincoln Smart System. V2V communications, driver assistance and connectivity services are part of the technology suite.
In the power section, Lincoln also did not specifically mention the relevant parameters, including details such as power or range. The only thing that is certain at the moment is that it will be produced on the Lincoln Electric Architecture platform, which can be expanded for rear-wheel or all-wheel drive models. So it's no exaggeration to say that we'll see a lot of Star Concepts in Lincoln electric cars in the coming years.
