Regenerative medicine is an emerging branch of medicine in recent years, and its goal is to develop different means to regenerate, repair or replace damaged or diseased cells, tissues or organs. Regenerative medicine includes the production and use of therapeutic stem cells, histology, and the production of artificial organs.

Satellite Bio's proprietary technology platform can implant different types of endocrine and paracrine cells (including primary cells, cells that induce pluripotent stem cell differentiation, or engineered cells) into the matrix to generate grafts that can be transplanted into patients. After surgical transplantation into a patient, they have the potential to integrate into the transplant environment, fully functioning, repairing, restoring, or replacing dysfunctional tissues or organs.

The company's technology is based on groundbreaking research by Dr. Sangeeta Bhatia, director of the MIT Center for Nanomedicine and Dr. Christopher Chen, director of the Center for Biodesign at Boston University. Building on the work of Dr. Robert Langer and others, they combined more than two decades of collaborative research in tissue technology, biology, and bioengineering to create this innovative model of regenerative medicine called tissue therapy.

"Tissue therapy can replace organs or tissues that are damaged during disease progression. This new frontier in regenerative medicine has great potential to provide solutions for some of the most intractable diseases. Dr. Dave Lennon, CEO of Satellite Bio, said, "Our technology platform can use almost all types of cells, making it possible to build a wide range of transplantable tissue therapies." ”
