In order to enhance the awareness, recognition and participation of children in the community on the classification of domestic garbage, recently, the Mingjun community of Xinzhuang Town, Jinnan District, joined hands with the town social work station to carry out the "Garbage Classification Spring Day I Go First" handmade hat DIY activity.
"Children, do you know what categories of household garbage are divided into?" What are the differences? "I know, I know, recyclables, hazardous waste, kitchen waste, other garbage..." The community staff introduced the knowledge of garbage classification for the children, and advocated that everyone start from the little bits, strive to be a small guardian of environmental protection, and consciously develop good habits of garbage classification.
The event also set up a riddle guessing session, and children need to win stickers decorating handmade hats by guessing the riddles on the pendant. At the scene of the event, children stood in front of the riddle and thought seriously, accompanied by the sound of rushing answers, many children passed the hurdle and won a rich "booty". The staff distributed garbage sorting handmade hats to the children, the children decorated their hats with winning stickers, and after the parents and children worked together, the cute garbage classification theme hats were also baked.
This garbage sorting parent-child activity combines theoretical knowledge with practice, which not only allows children to experience the fun of learning, but also improves everyone's awareness of environmental protection.
