Spring tea picked during the rainy season of the valley is also called erchun tea. Spring temperature is moderate, abundant rainfall, tea plants through autumn and winter recuperation, spring buds and leaves are fat, emerald green, soft leaves, rich in a variety of vitamins and amino acids, fresh taste, pleasant aroma.
Xu Cishu of the Ming Dynasty talked about the season of tea picking in the "Tea Shu": "The Qingming Dynasty is too early, the summer is too late, before and after the valley rains, the timing is moderate. "The tea picked before the valley rain is tender and fragrant, and the taste is the best, so the valley rain tastes new tea and becomes a habit." The literati yake, who loved fragrant tea, had many poems to chant.
Qi Qi, a famous poet and monk of the late Tang Dynasty, has left three tea poems related to Gu Yu, one of which is "Xie Zhongshangren Sends Tea": "Before the rain in the spring valley, pick the smoke by hand."
