Literary will to power

(Self-prologue)

"We are all dream figures, and our small lives are completed in dreams."

Literature is irreplaceable. Whether it is expressing emotions or daily work life, literature is indispensable. She summons hazy thinking, evokes the thoughts of relatives, stimulates a sense of generality, purifies the soul, and brings us the purest aesthetic enjoyment. Of course, she can also be a shotgun, a dagger, a poison, a move and a dose that is enough to kill; or a nuclear bomb, causing shockwave destruction and radioactive contamination.

Literature is endless. What literature really is, how it happens, what her territory is, where her boundaries should be extended, what her function is, no one can say.

I prefer to use the concept of "great literature" to look at literature, which not only includes the "literature, history and philosophy" of the pre-Qin Dynasty, but also includes the basic parts of politics, economy, military, culture, and art in later generations; it includes astronomical geography and foreign religions; it includes theology, Traditional Chinese medicine, folklore, and the written components of modern science and technology. Literature is the "study of all learning" and is the foundation of all learning.

"The terrain is kun, and the gentleman is thick and virtuous." "Husbands are indisputable, so the world cannot contend with them." "Do not do to others what you do not want." "Don't forget the past, the teacher of the future." "The upper heals the country, the Middle heals the people, and the lower heals the sick." It seems to me that these are all literature – not literature and what is it? Literature is the Word. After the Tao, one discipline after another was born, multiplied, and then spun off. Literature is supposed to be an open, increasingly thriving ecosystem, not a closed, increasingly small Russian matryoshka doll. Each discipline goes farther and farther in the professional field, and gradually forgets its own genealogy. At this time, the discipline, which is still called "literature", will be marginalized if it does not pay attention to the timely enrichment and comprehensive unity at a higher level. Today, we see quite a bit of embarrassment: literature is squeezed in teaching practice; literature is ignored in social situations; literature is shelved under the pressure of employment and survival. Literature became dispensable. Literature itself is not contentious, dissipating essence in the misunderstanding of praise, insults, arguments or "pure literary creation", and is annihilated in the wave of commercialization. Literature, which was supposed to be the master, is today reduced to a vassal of all walks of life, and practitioners need to "cross"borders" to receive relief and handouts.

The root cause of this embarrassment lies in the self-dwarfing and weakening of literature, and the "functional positioning" is not clear. Literature should be, and must be, a "study of all things." When she marries with government affairs, she is politics; when she is tied to interests, she is economic; when she is mixed with behavioral motives, she is psychoanalysis; when she is combined with production and operation, she is enterprise management. Literature is powerful!

Deeply influenced by German philosophy and modern science, I interpreted the "will to power of literature" in the form of a "literary equation": "The will to power of literature is so arrogant that it can command the world; the will to power of literature is so stubborn that it can resist time and space." ”

Literature is an objective body transformed by subjective creation. She is a galaxy in itself, binding and influencing and decisive for authors, works, readers, and critics. Good literature is like the sun, no matter where you are, whether you like it or not, you are inevitably affected by the gravitational pull of the sun, accepting the light and heat of the sun.

Literature can command the world and counter time and space. I hope that all writers can appreciate the happiness of it, perseverance, and restore literature. Literature is not useless and less used, but very useful and too much. For example, "global buying, global selling" is to express a broad-minded business idea in exquisite terms, reflecting the height of the thinking of the operator. This kind of subtlety, openness, and height are in line with "the green mountains on both sides of the strait are opposite, and the lone sails are coming from the side of the sun", rather than being irrelevant. Not every writer can become an entrepreneur, but obviously, every entrepreneur has a good literary literacy – we usually call it "humanistic literacy".

Although, I put the "literary will to power" in the position of the "sun" and beautified it to the extreme. But we don't need to take the sun's self too seriously. As the opening words say, our lives are small, not to mention that this smallness is completed in dreams.

We should never forget that we are humble as dust, a humble passer-by.

The Literary Will to Power series, written from 2000 to 2010, went through three stages: college attendance, military service (during college), and employment. During this period, the works are masculine and open up a colorful and magnificent literary world. To this day, I still love and cherish the works of this period.

Today I picked up "broken sentences" and compiled them into this pamphlet. The best of the pamphlets are the two abstracts of "Literary Will to Power", written in 2006 at the age of 25.

Thank you to my father, salute my father, I believe that today he is still silently watching his children in another time and space, the "will to power of literature" is actually his will, he is so arrogant and stubborn! Thank you to my mother, who raised us with great pains. Thanks to my sisters and brothers.

Thank you Ms. Wen and Mr. Wen.

Thank you Mr. Tian and Ms. Pan.

Thank you to everyone you have met in the past and the future, and thank everyone who has been befriended by God.
