Recently WWE has been promoting former AEW star Cody Rhodes as the face of RAW, which puts him on an equal footing with "Tribal Chiefs" in official TV commercials.
It's clear that the WWE management is aware of what they have in Cody Rhodes and intends to treat him like a star of a major event. Whether this will attract other AEW talent to jump ship in the coming years remains to be seen.
Will Cody Rhodes be the one to beat Roman Reigns?
Undisputed WWE global champion Roman Reigns has not been beaten on the WWE show since November 2019. This has led many people in the WWE Universe to wonder who will be the one who will eventually triumph over tribal chief Roman Reigns.
Cody Rhodes' first promo back to WWE RAW after Wrestling Mania 38 proved to be very convincing, involving future plans with the "Tribal Chiefs". American Nightmare made it clear that his first priority in signing with WWE was to win the WWE title, which his father never did, and Cody Rhodes wanted to help his father win that honor.
If Cody Rhodes wants to win the title to fill that hole in his family legacy, Roman Reigns will be the one to turn that dream into reality. While it's impossible to know WWE's long-term plans, many fans believe that the company wouldn't have let American Nightmare do that publicity on RAW if it wasn't on the main event list.
