Today is April 17th, and 12 days have passed since I returned to work on paternity leave and closed duty. At 9:30 a.m., after the handover, I started my 24-hour busy work.

"Fengxian tuned Chen Lei, please speak." As soon as the phone rang in the dispatch room, I knew there was an anomaly in the grid. "Report that the 25 residents at the back end of a neighborhood station have lost power, please send someone to the station as soon as possible to investigate!" At present, it is a critical period for epidemic prevention and control, and it is necessary to restore the power supply to residents as quickly as possible. While checking the electrical system diagram and confirming the equipment situation, I also informed the substation personnel to prepare for epidemic prevention and rush to the scene. Because the neighborhood station is located in the sealing area, the safety risk is relatively large, and I have been worrying for the substation personnel to feedback the scene situation. Fortunately, they have rich experience in entering the sealing and control area for emergency repair, and soon confirmed that the cause of the failure was the tripping of the low-voltage switch. After an intense and orderly emergency repair process, 25 households immediately restored power supply.

As soon as work came to an end, I received a video call from my son. "Dad, are you busy?" When will you be able to come back and see me? "Looking at my son's cute little face on the screen, I have some nasal acid. Yeah, I haven't been home or hugged my son in almost a month.

In March, our family welcomed a little princess, and since then I have been staying at the confinement center to accompany my wife who has just given birth, and only my mother-in-law is taking care of my son, who has just turned four. When I took paternity leave, it was a new outbreak of the epidemic, and all the dispatchers of the company had to be on duty in the company's closure. It's been very hard for everyone to not be able to go home, and the duty team I am in is even busier because of the lack of one person, which makes me particularly unhappy. So as soon as I finished my paternity leave, I went straight to the company with my suitcase.

"Daddy misses you too, but Daddy has more important things to do now. Now it's dangerous outside, you have to listen to your grandmother, stay at home, and after a while your father will be able to come back and play with you! After reluctantly saying goodbye to my son, I hung up the phone and went back to work.

After dealing with several emergency repair incidents in a row, I was about to get up to drink water and stretch my body, and the SCADA monitoring system on the dispatching table issued an emergency alarm sound, prompting a 35 kV station 10 kV outlet switch to trip, and the coincidence was successful. I quickly picked up the phone, notified the substation, line operation, line transportation and other related teams to go out for repair, and carefully sorted out the user information and user repair situation on the line to assist in judging the location of the fault point. With the internal and external cooperation of me and the emergency repair personnel, the location of the fault point was quickly locked, and the line transmission returned to normal after isolating the fault.

By the time I finished my work, I had already missed dinner time. At this time, it was dark outside the window, and I was eating a cold box lunch while calling my wife who was still in the confinement center. On the phone, my wife asked me how long I would be closed, and if my daughter could go to the confinement center to pick up their mother and daughter at the full moon, I was speechless. Listening to my silence, my wife comforted me instead: "It doesn't matter if you don't come to pick up, I'm just lying to you." I have long known that the more critical your position is, the more you can't leave, you work with peace of mind, and our mother and daughter are good! ”

Put down the phone, the brothers on duty together came to care for me, asked me how the situation was at home, and if there was any difficulty, everyone could find someone from the family to help support me. I was particularly touched in my heart, in fact, I know that every dispatcher around me is like me, in order to ensure the smooth operation of the power grid and reliable power supply, temporarily away from the family, in the company is more than a month. We have reluctance and concern in our hearts, but at the moment of the war, these have not shaken our belief in sticking to our posts.
