Brief introduction
Located at the southern foot of the famous scenic spot in Xishan, Beijing, Badachu was built during the Sui and Tang dynasties to the Ming and Qing dynasties, and was named after the eight ancient temples in the mountain.
The eight major places are surrounded by the West Mountain Yumai Cuiwei Mountain, Hutou Mountain, Lushi Mountain, the three mountains are shaped like seats, the eight ancient temples are scattered among the three mountains, and the natural "Twelve Landscapes" are even more famous, the ancients praised "three mountains like a Chinese house, eight brakes like antiques in the house, and twelve views like the garden outside the house."

Badachu Park has warm mountain breeze in winter and cool and pleasant summer. The soil is fertile and rich in vegetation.
Eight ancient temples in the garden: The earliest was built in the late Sui and early Tang dynasties, and was built through the Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties. Among them, the five temples of Chang'an, Lingguang, Xiangjie and Zhengguo were all built by the emperor.
Yingcui Lake: At the end of the 1980s, the park water body scenic spot "Yingcui Lake" was built. Small bridge flowing water, peach red willow green, swimming fish in the water, birds flying in the trees, elegant and peaceful.

Cable Car: Located in the Autumn Foliage Viewing Area, the one-way length is 1050 meters, and the operating time is 13 minutes and 40 seconds. The cable car leads to the summit "Baozhu Cave". From a distance, you can see the CCTV Tower, Kunming Lake of the Summer Palace, the Seventeen-Hole Bridge, the traffic of the Fifth Ring Road, the rows of high-rise buildings in the city, the Forbidden City Tower, the Yongding River, the Cuiwei Mountains, and the beautiful scenery of Beijing.

Slide: Built in the spring of 1994, the total length is more than 1700 meters, there are 50 curves, the height is reduced by 240 meters, and the average slope is 15 degrees. The run is designed for a maximum speed of 80 km/h and the current speed limit is 35 km/h. U-shaped chutes are all made of high-grade stainless steel.

Badachu Park has fertile soil and rich vegetation, and the forest coverage rate has reached 97.2%. Among them, there are more than 80 kinds of trees, more than 400,000 trees; 18 kinds of precious ancient trees, 590 trees; whitebark pine of Chang'an Temple; horse chestnut trees of Lingguang Temple; ginkgo trees of Great Compassion Temple; and Huanglian trees of Zhengguo Temple, which are more than 600 years old, still full of tree shape and beautiful tree shape. There are nearly 140,000 red leaf trees such as yellow oak, torch and yuanbao maple.
In spring, the apricot blossoms, peach blossoms, spring flowers*, forsythia, etc. all over the mountains are in full bloom, clustered, and it is beautiful; in summer, the peaks are stacked with greenery, the sky is beautiful and elegant, the birds are chirping, and the springs are gushing; in the autumn, more than 100,000 yellow trees, torches, yuanbao maples and other red leaf tree species, after the autumn frost, the mountains are full of dan, everywhere is beautiful; into the cold winter, silver wrapped, snow gelatin.

A Chang'an Temple
Chang'an Temple is located 500 meters south of the park gate and was built in the Ming Dynasty (1504). Leaning on the green mountain, sitting west and facing east, surrounded by red walls, two into four. The entrance is a brick and stone wall with the words "Deng Joyful Land" on it. The original hall is dedicated to guan yu statues, also known as "Guan Gong Hall". To the rear, they are "Daxiong Treasure Hall" and "Tuas Hall", and two white bark trees are erected in front of the Tuas Hall. Chang'an Temple originally had five hundred statues of Arhats, but they no longer exist. The Temple was destroyed during the Cultural Revolution and has not yet been restored to its original appearance, and is now closed to the public.

Two Emmanuel Temples
Reiko-ji Temple is the most important surviving temple in the Eight Great Places. It was founded during the Tang Dynasty (766-779). In recent years, the "Panopromeda Heart Sutra" wall, 500 arhat reliefs and Buddha's tooth relics have been built in the Temple of Lingguang Temple to form the consummation of the Unity of Dharma and Monk.

Zhaoxian Pagoda was built in the seventh year of the Xianyong Dynasty of the Liao Dynasty, that is, in 1701. It was built by the prime minister Yelü Renxian for his mother, Lady Zheng of the Liaoyan Kingdom, and enshrined the Buddha Tooth Stupa. The original eight edges and thirteen floors, surrounded by iron lantern niches 16, each tower brick has a beautiful Buddha statue, so it is also commonly known as the Portrait of a Thousand Buddhas. In the 26th year of qing guangxu (1900 AD), the lingguang ancient temple was destroyed by the artillery fire of the Eight-Nation Alliance.

It took twenty-three years of vigorous reconstruction to be reborn. After the revival, the Reikin temple sits north and faces south, and is arranged vertically. In the south are the Great Compassion Temple and the Goldfish Pond Temple. The northern parts are the Abbot's Temple, the Pagoda Temple, the Lay Monastery and the Daxiong Treasure Hall.
Today's Emmanuel Temple Buddha Tooth Stupa is magnificent and tall, 51 meters high, octagonal, in the form of a thirteen-story dense eaves tower, and the Han white jade worship platform is 2.7 meters above the ground. Inside the tower is a seven-story hall. The golden pagoda in the hall enshrines the relics of the Buddha's teeth, and the golden pagoda is made of pure gold. Outside there is a stone staircase on the Dafo Tooth Relic Hall.
In the past two years, due to the new crown epidemic, the temple has not been opened and can only be viewed outside the courtyard.

Three Sanzan-an
Sanshan'an is named because it is located between the three mountains of Cuiwei, Hutou and Lushi. Sanshan'an was founded in the third year of Jin Tiande (1151) and rebuilt during the Qianlong period. There are three halls of the mountain gate, and the five halls facing the mountain gate are the main halls, which contain the statue of Shakyamuni.

There are four great compassion temples
The Temple of Great Compassion is located on the mountainside between Sansan-an and Ryusen-an. According to legend, it was built in the Northern Song Dynasty or Liaojin Dynasty (about 1033), and the temple sits on the west and faces the east, and there are two ancient catalpa trees facing the mountain gate. The entire courtyard is three into four, the mountain gate hall has a stone forehead "Great Compassion Temple", for the Qing Kangxi Emperor's royal pen, the mountain gate hall has four statues of the heavenly kings. Behind the Mountain Gate Hall is the Daxiong Treasure Hall, in front of the hall there are two pools of ancient bamboo in the Ming Dynasty, and there are thirty Buddhas and eighteen arhat statues in the hall. Behind the Daxiong Treasure Hall is the seated statue of Guanyin Bodhisattva in the Yuantong Treasure Hall.

Five Ryusen-an
At the end of the Ming Dynasty and the beginning of the Qing Dynasty, there were two temples here, one for the Dragon King Hall and the other for the Huiyun Zen Forest, and the two places were merged into one during the Qing Dynasty, which was the Longquan Temple. Entering the mountain gate, you will get a pond, and the spring water continues to flow out of the dragon mouth of the pool and inject into the pool. The spring is called "Dragon Spring", which does not dry up at four o'clock, and the spring water is tested as natural high strontium mineral water.

Six Incense Temples
Located on Pingpo Mountain, Xiangjie Temple is the largest temple in the eight major areas today. Originally built in the First Year of the Tang Dynasty (758-760), Xiangjie Temple sat north and south, taking the mountain as a majestic and magnificent position, and was the place where the emperors of the past traveled to the mountains. The five courtyards include the Mountain Gate Hall, the Heavenly King Hall and the Second Floor of the Bell and Drum, the Yuanxiong Treasure Hall, the Daxiong Treasure Hall, and the Scripture Building.

Seven orb caves
Baozhu Cave is located on the top of Pingpo Mountain and was founded in the 46th year of the Qianlong Dynasty (1780). There is a wooden archway in front of the temple, and the plaque is engraved inside and outside the "Solid Forest" and "Joyful Land", which is the imperial pen of the Qianlong Emperor.
Baozhu Cave is built on the cliff and has two floors of the main hall, of which the "Guanwangxuan" Guanyin Hall forms a one-story courtyard together with the left and right rooms. There is a stone cave behind the Guanyin Hall, about four meters wide, and the gravel in the cave is like a jewel of black and white, crystal glittering, and the cave is named after the "jewel".

Eight Temples of Zhengguo
Zhengguo Temple is the oldest of the eight monasteries, and the eight are located on the mountainside of Lushi Mountain. It was built during the Tang Tianbao period (also rumored to have been built during the Sui Renshou period). In the courtyard of the second entrance, there is the Hall of the Heavenly King and the Hall of the Great Treasure. An ancient yellow tree in the temple is more than 600 years old and is unique to the capital.
