Shenzhou 13 astronauts worked and lived in the space station complex for 183 days, setting a new record for the space stay time of Chinese astronauts on a single mission. After three stages of crossing the atmosphere from space more than 300 kilometers above the ground, the three astronauts finally returned safely and smoothly.

About thirty minutes later, the three astronauts came out of the warehouse in turn and announced that Shenzhou XIII had completed its landing. Zhai Zhigang first came out of the cabin and waved to everyone.

One of the major challenges for the three astronauts to land is that they face gravitational overload. In the braking process, opening the umbrella, landing three stages, they need to be prepared to fight gravity, adjust the posture, muscle tension, and resist the pressure of impact overload. At 09:30 this morning, about 145 kilometers above the ground, the propulsion module and the return module of the Shenzhou XIII spacecraft separated. This was an important beginning for the spacecraft to enter the atmosphere, and the returner carrying the astronauts rushed to Earth without hesitation.
At this moment, hundreds of vehicles, helicopters, transport aircraft, lifeboats, and civilian search and rescue forces are ready to meet the astronauts, providing full escort for the astronauts.
At a distance of 80-40 kilometers from Earth, the spacecraft may experience a terrifying 5-minute "black barrier zone". Due to the intense friction and heating of the return capsule and the atmosphere, which is the harshest stage of the astronaut's return process, communication may be interrupted.
"I haven't felt the feeling of gravity in a long time!" At about 9:35, as a wisp of Mars appeared in the field of vision, the astronauts reported that they were safe, and returned to the capsule to pass the first dangerous phase of the landing.
Then, at about 9:40 a.m., at an altitude of about 10 kilometers from the ground in the Shenzhou 13 return capsule, a large parachute of 1,200 square meters as thin as a cicada's wing opened and landed carrying the return capsule, at which time the picture also became the color of the ground end.
At 9:48, the return capsule suddenly smoked, causing many spectators to take a breath. However, the CCTV announcer explained that this was originally to release excess fuel, not to encounter danger.
At 9:51, the "Landing Readiness" radio sounded and the parachute swung like a pendulum. The astronauts are heading to the ground at the last 10 meters, which will take only 1.5 seconds. Landing is another dangerous phase.
At about 9:55, at about one meter above the ground, the return capsule started the reverse thrust engine, the descent speed dropped to about 2m/s, and finally, the return capsule landed safely and steadily.
At 9:58 a.m. 2022, a capsule with slightly burning marks landed upright on the Gobi Desert, the Shenzhou XIII return capsule that had just returned, and it was three astronauts who had traveled in space for 183 days.
As the astronauts came out of the warehouse in good condition, the last mission of the key technology verification phase of the Chinese space station was a complete success!
Second, the first time to adopt a rapid return program, "general express" into "high-speed rail"
On October 16, 2021, astronauts Zhai Zhigang, Wang Yaping and Ye Guangfu boarded the Shenzhou 13 manned spacecraft at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center and entered the Tianhe core module, becoming the second batch of astronauts to "stay" at the Chinese space station.
During the 183 days in orbit, three astronauts carried out numerous space station construction work. Including the implementation of robotic arm auxiliary module transposition, hand remote control operation and space station assembly and construction of key technology tests, 2-3 out of the cabin activities, etc., are to prepare for the follow-up space station construction tasks. They set a new record for the length of continuous flight time of Chinese astronauts in orbit, and also spent the Spring Festival New Year in the sky.
Just last night, at 0:44 on April 16, the Shenzhou 13 manned spacecraft was successfully separated from the space station Tianhe core module, marking the end of the three astronauts' business trip to return to Earth.
It is worth mentioning that in order to make their return journey faster and safer, this return voyage for the first time adopts a fast return scheme around the earth five times. This scheme shortens the spacecraft's return time from 28 hours to about 8 hours. In other words, the space team replaced the "general express" train for the astronauts with the "high-speed rail".
The complete success of the Shenzhou 13 manned mission marks the successful completion of the mission of the key technology verification stage of the space station, and the Chinese space station is about to enter the construction stage.
The Chinese space station, named "Tiangong", will be an important experimental base for continental space science research and space exploration. As early as 1992, the mainland was committed to developing manned space launch capabilities and the Shenzhou spacecraft that could safely return to the atmosphere.
