In terms of appearance, seals are based on the design concept of marine aesthetics, and the new design makes it younger and stronger in new energy attributes. The seal's body lines are smooth and stretched, emphasizing the proportional relationship between the various parts of the body. The 2920mm extra-long wheelbase combined with the slipback roof presents the elegance of a sports coupe. In addition, the undulating posture of the front cabin canopy and the bulge at the rear wheel arch also show a certain dynamic style.
In terms of details, in addition to the sharp shape of the "shuttle" type headlights, the water ripple design on both sides of the front is very eye-catching, and it is expected that there will be a good recognition after lighting. In addition, we also noticed that compared with the official video released earlier, in this picture, the decoration of the triangular window in front of the SEAL D pillar has changed, and the water drop element has replaced the previous cascading design, which is more in line with the design concept of marine aesthetics.
This set of official diagrams also shows us richer tail details. The through-type taillights are like two interconnected water droplets, in addition to the parametric distribution of the dot-like light source, there are delicate luminous lines running through the left and right, becoming the visual center of gravity of the entire taillight.
The design of the rear bumper part of the new car is also very distinctive, in the form of relief independent of the tail of the car as a whole, reminiscent of the shape of the seal's tail fin, and subtly responding to the theme of "seal". At the same time, the lower part also has a diversion structure that enhances the aerodynamic effect, and through the color contrast, the visual effect is very fierce, which further strengthens the sense of movement in the rear of the car.
In terms of power, according to the information previously disclosed by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, SEAL will provide three endurance versions of the model, the standard endurance model is equipped with a 150kW rear motor, the maximum working mileage is 550km; the long-endurance version is equipped with a 230kW rear motor, the maximum working mileage is 700km; the top four-wheel drive version before and after the motor total power of 390kW, the maximum working mileage is 650km, and zero hundred acceleration takes only 3.8 seconds.
As the culmination of BYD's e-platform 3.0 technology, BYD Seal will adopt a series of advanced technologies including battery body integration (CTB), eight-in-one electric powertrain, heat pump system, and boost fast charging.
