When you come to work in the village, you are a local, and fighting the epidemic requires everyone to work together. On March 12, our village began the first round of nucleic acid screening after the outbreak. The village's production captains all came to help, and the village committee also recruited some volunteers, and after working together for a few days, I suddenly had a lot of acquaintances. Since that day, we have no rest days, I can't count the day of the week, only remember the specific date, whether to do nucleic acid on that day. Organizing nucleic acids itself is not hard, but some villagers will be affected by online rumors. Once we did a mixed nucleic acid test of 20 people and one tube according to the requirements, a villager held up his mobile phone to take a video of us, saying that one person and one tube were required, why is it still a mixed inspection of multiple people. We patiently explained it to him, and he understood.

April 4, the day when all the people in the village are nucleic acid. I got up at 4:30 a.m. and found that the secretary and village chief had already made preparations, and they often stayed up until midnight. When it was time to get up, our village director's voice was particularly loud, and every household walked over and shouted in his throat, "Don't sleep, get up and do nucleic acid." Later, he couldn't hold on, so he recorded a passage with a loudspeaker. These times to do nucleic acid, the villagers have a high degree of cooperation, some grandparents carry small benches out, two meters apart, while queuing while basking in the sun. But in fact, for the village cadres, every time they wait for the results, they are very tormented, psychologically stressed, and hope that every villager is healthy and safe.
In order to give the villagers sufficient material support, the village has also made great efforts. There are some remarks on the Internet that when there are places to send supplies, they only give to local landlords, not to non-local tenants, and I really feel aggrieved after seeing it. In our village, for example, the houses where the villagers live are all single-family buildings, and if there is a vacant room, they rent it out. If you do not pay attention when distributing supplies, according to the standard of one household per household, it may be misunderstood as only for the landlord. In order to avoid such misunderstandings, we asked the captains of the production teams to revisit each household, recount the number of people who actually lived, and distribute them according to the number of heads. Even so, there are still tenants who go to the village committee to reflect why he did not get the supplies, but in fact, they have not been sent to his area in order. He waited an extra day after he went back, and the gift package was in hand. He went to the village committee again and thanked him specifically.

There are some self-reserved land in the village, and the villagers grow their own vegetables for everyone to eat for a long time. There is also a vegetable base in the village, and it is difficult to sell to the urban area due to epidemic control and other reasons. They picked it and sold it directly in the field to the villagers, cabbage, leeks, coriander, Chinese cabbage, pea seedlings, all kinds of them, which not only saved transportation costs, the price was cheap, but also guaranteed the supply of living materials for the villagers. There are also some unified procurement channels in the village, if the villagers have needs, report to the production team leader, we can also connect with the supplier, you can also buy affordable packages.
The pandemic has changed a lot of people's lives and changed me. I remembered that in January this year, on the day I went to the village to report, the village committee team greeted me at the entrance of the village, pointed to the largest electronic screen, and told me to look at it quickly. "Welcome Comrade Feng Shan to join the big family of innovation", the words on it startled me. I was so touched, it was really like coming home. However, I soon felt that the first difficulty of grassroots work was the language barrier. I'm from Chengdu and don't understand Shanghainese very well, but most of them are natives here, and all the colleagues of the village committee and the villagers speak Shanghainese. Sometimes in order to take care of me, they had to switch specifically to Mandarin. Before, there were not many people in the village who knew me, and I didn't want the villagers to know that I was foreign or just hanging up, and I wanted to make myself more grounded. I bought a book in Shanghainese myself, and the village director saw that it was of little use to read books, and that the local dialect of Chuangxin Village was different from the shanghai dialect. My sister in the office gave me a copy of "Shanghai Proverbs" so that I could learn more local dialects. But even if you read more books, the harvest is not as good as actually dealing with the villagers a few times. I slowly learned the names of many people and what kind of people they were. There is a grandfather, very enthusiastic about village affairs, when the dish is sent to take the initiative to help; there is Aunt Zhong, when doing nucleic acid to help me assist the doctor, which needs to dispense medicine is also she helped me check the prescription; another time, because of my work mistakes, ordered an extra dish, in order to comfort me, everyone scrambled to buy that dish.

Before, I walked in the village and felt like an outsider; during this time, when the fight against the epidemic persisted, I felt that the village was very kind, and more and more people could greet and talk. They called me "Xiao Feng" in a local dialect, which was very nice.
