Remedy Entertainment and Rockstar Games have officially announced that they will collaborate on a full remake of Max Payne 1 & 2.
The project is still in the early stages of development and will be built using Control's Northlight engine. The two classics will be merged into one game with quality assurance at the level of the well-known AAA masterpiece. The release date has not yet been announced, but it has been confirmed that it will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC platforms.
It is reported that this game is fully funded and developed by Rockstar Games, and will be released by them in the future. Sam Houser, co-founder of Rockstar Games, explains why the game was developed: "An old friend of Remedy approached us to recreate the original max&Payne 1 & 2 game. We're all thrilled, and who can say no to the great work That Remedy has created? We are big fans of Remedy! How good the remake of "Max Payne 1 &2" will be, just thinking about it is already impatient. ”
Tero Virtala, CEO of Remedy, also said: "The MAX PAYNE IP occupies a special place in the hearts of every member of Remedy, and we believe that this is also the case for millions of players around the world. So it's a great pleasure to be working with rockstar Games' old guys again to bring players the max Payne series a complete remake of the story, great action, and gameplay. ”
Remedy has stockpiled a lot of games in recent years, including the Mind Killer sequel, the Control sequel, and free-to-play shooters co-produced with Tencent. Among the above works, only the "Mind Killer" sequel is currently confirmed to be released in 2023.
In recent years, the word-of-mouth of Ghost Recon players has become increasingly struggling, but according to a report by foreign media Kotaku, Ubisoft Paris Studio is developing a new work for the Ghost Recon series, code-named OVER. The game is now in development for more than a year and is expected to be released in fiscal year 2023, which means we'll see the game until April next year.
At the same time, Kotaku's report also claimed that Ubisoft's free battle royale game Ghost Recon Frontline was postponed indefinitely after being spat upon by players and may have been completely overturned and redone, so it will not be released soon.
Shanguo Niang: I don't care about anything else, I just want to know if there are NFTs in this game.
Last year's "eFootball 2022" released by Konami was in a very bad state when it was first launched. The free-to-play game, which evolved from Pro Evolution Soccer, attempted to add optional paid DLC to the next step for profit, but lack of content and technical issues led to one of Steam's most critically rated games. Konami then apologized and postponed version 1.0, which was scheduled for November 11, 2021.
After a long "wait", Konami finally announced yesterday that the 1.0 version of "eFootball 2022" will be released on April 14, and admitted in the update log that there was a serious rush phenomenon in the game. Version 1.0 will include changes in defensive controls, improvements in pass feedback, trajectory of shots, dribbling maneuverability, online connection quality, "formation changes", "personal instructions", "data management" and other additional functions.
For Konami, how to reverse steam reviews is the biggest challenge, and up to 24,000 negative reviews really can't be solved in a moment and a half. As for the news of the mobile version of the "eFootball" game, it may not be released until this bad review problem is solved.
Eric Barone, creator of Stardew Grain Language, suddenly ran a live broadcast of the development of his new work, Haunted Chocolate Factory, after months of "disappearing", sharing the use of the composer software Reason Studios and showing off some of the tracks in the game.
Describing the music as "darker than Stardew Grain," Barone said: "Most of the music in the game is intended to present the player with a mysterious, gloomy feel to sound like a mysterious night in the snow." It's worth noting that one of the tracks called "Beeboss" may suggest that the player will be battling the terrifying Bee BOSS.
Speaking about the previous game, Barone said: "Haunted Chocolate Factory has been influenced a lot by Stardew Grain Language. When I made this game, I couldn't help but think of Stardew Cereal Language, but it was precisely because Stardew Grain Language was so perfect that I couldn't find a direction to change, so some parts I did it the same. But don't worry, the gameplay is not the same at all, so there is no need to complain that it is a copy-paste of Stardew Cereal Language. ”
