"Max Payne" 1+2 remake is publicly produced by Remedy and R Star

Remedy today announced that it will be working with R Star to develop a remake of Max Payne's Gen 1 and Gen 2, which will be available on PS5, XSX | as a collection of two works S and PC, based on Remedy's own Northern Lights engine for development.

According to the development agreement signed by the two parties, the development budget of the remake version is provided by R Star, which is equivalent to the scale of Remedy's previous AAA production, and Remedy will receive royalties in future game sales after R Star recovers development, marketing, distribution and other costs. Sam Houser, founder of R Star, said that the project was proposed by Remedy, and they are also happy that the two sides can work together again, and this time there will be an opportunity to re-present the plot, action and atmosphere of the original "Max Payne" in a new way. In addition, it is officially confirmed that the project is currently in the concept development stage.
