Musk responded via Twitter that he was looking forward to "making significant improvements to Twitter in the coming months!" According to CNBC, the SEC's fines for such violations are usually modest (at least for the world's richest man), often around $100,000. Of course, we can also think that the world's richest man doesn't care about these little money.

Interestingly, Musk has repeatedly clashed with the SEC over the content of the tweets. In 2018, the SEC sued Musk on the grounds that he had received "funding guarantees" to take Tesla private. Later, a judge ordered a lawyer to scrutinize Musk's content before he tweeted.

The SEC is still continuing to investigate Musk's Twitter poll, which is the one that sold 10% of Tesla shares. So, there's reason to believe that the SEC won't let him go this time, so good luck!
