The Masculine Beauty of Wei Bei's Square Pen - "The Portrait of Shiping Gong"

The "Statue of Shiping Gong" is on the north wall of Guyang Cave in the Longmen Grottoes on the southern outskirts of Luoyang City. Emperor Xiaowen of Wei (Yuan Hong) Taihe built the temple on September 14, 498, the 22nd year of the reign of Emperor Xiaowen of Wei. Its calligraphy as an art of calligraphy is particularly the first treasure in the famous "Twenty Pins of Longmen". It reversed the weak calligraphy of the Southern Dynasty, created a typical example of the northern stele square pen, and passed on to future generations with masculine beauty.
