Recently, the Volkswagen Group is recalling 10,119 vehicles in the US market, including the 2021 and 2022 Volkswagen Taos and the 2022 Volkswagen Tiguan. It is reported that the reason for this recall is that the rear suspension of the vehicle may be damaged or broken due to production problems, resulting in damage or rupture of the rear steering knuckle of the vehicle, which makes the vehicle out of control and increases the accident rate, but fortunately, the failure has not caused casualties at present.

It is estimated that about 6% of all vehicles recalled will have this failure, but because the failure involves Tiguan models, the failure may not be limited to the US market, but the domestic Tiguan will not be affected, and the owner can drive with confidence. It is reported that Volkswagen will send emails to affected owners from May 20 this year, informing owners to move the vehicle to the dealer for maintenance as soon as possible, and if a problem is found, the dealer will repair the owner for free.
