On the basis of the 2013 technology group flagship, players have created countless sets of MOC works, the most widely circulated of which is the u42009 with the ultimate power enhancement of the whole body.

I'm ashamed to say that before I started this year's u42009 of the Yuxing Model King replica, I had not spelled the 42009 body and other derivative products, so this is also my first contact with this box of "old" kits produced in 2019. In the first version of the product shipment, Yuxing once had a lot of small bugs, after two and a half years, what kind of experience can this classic big crane bring us?
Unboxing & Assembly Process
The painting and packaging box of the yellow crane purchased in 2022 is still the traditional style of Yuxing's 2019 shipment, and a total of 7 packages of parts are packed in two ab sub-boxes. Probably because some of the wrong parts have been adjusted, the 1/4/5 package has been replaced by a disposable easy-to-tear bag printed with black numbers, and the 2/3/6/7 package is still the same as the first version of the red-letter self-sealing bag, which will not have any substantial impact on the assembly, and can be expanded directly according to the instructions.
By the way, I personally prefer Yuxing's box without handles. Many domestic building block packaging boxes on the handle will often be stuck in the two inner boxes, when the box is opened, it takes a lot of effort...
In order to meet the needs of the remote control of the whole car, the power group of this "ultimate version" 42009 gives 1 XL motor, 3 L motors, 4 M motors and two lithium battery boxes of the super power strong configuration, Yuxing's current products on sale have corrected the problem of the first version of the wrong motor, all the motors have also been replaced by the updated black explosion motor, to some extent can be regarded as a follow-up upgrade?
On the sticker plate, you can see the number from A/A1 to D/D1, with the motor and the extension line used to use the logo sticker, after opening the box, it is recommended to paste the sticker to the corresponding motor according to the logo on the drawing for the first time, so that the subsequent assembly and wiring work have a lot of help.

Because the number of motors is too large and buried in the structure is not easy to disassemble, it has become a very important step to check whether the motor/battery box is intact and whether the gear set is operating normally during the assembly process. The parts that can be inspected in packages 1-2 include the B motor that drives the upper and lower telescopic motor that supports the hoe and the A motor, the only power source for the drive wheels.
Another important inspection item is the calibration of multiple steering bridges, and it is also very important for a multi-wheel steering construction vehicle with 4 steering bridges to ensure that the front and rear steering wheels are fully aligned.

Carbon fiber and ordinary plastic bottom power drive shafts are available in the sleeve, and considering the strong torque of the XL motor, a more resistant carbon fiber cross shaft has been selected here.
Yuxing in the first version of the product once gave the wrong red 8-tooth gear; different from the ordinary gray eight-tooth gear, the inner wall of this kind of red gear is smooth, the cross shaft can slide freely, and the support arms of the four hoes are also freely retracted through the through hole in the center of this gear.
The last steering bridge of step 284 of the 4th package has a small problem: according to the original drawings, the steering bridge is connected to the front body by a 7-block long cross shaft, but the part facing the front of the 7-grid shaft has a 1-block deep unsealed round hole, and it is easy to have one end of the shaft being thrown into the hole when the front and rear are closed, resulting in insufficient length of the rear section and the front body, and the steering linkage is invalid.
Personal advice can consider finding a spare 9-block cross shaft (such as the front carbon fiber shaft to replace the one), cut it to a slightly shorter than 8 blocks length and then replace the installation, so as to ensure that the front and back are closed once in place to get the steering linkage shaft of the body.
After testing the C motor responsible for steering and the D motor that is deployed by the hoe support arm in the second half of the body, the main body of the body is basically declared.
Crane turret for adjusting the angle of the boom A1 motor and control boom telescopic B1 motor, the 4 motors in the turret are relatively less stable in the assembly process, there may be a situation where the gear is shaken and caused by stuttering during the power test, and it must be repaired in time to avoid affecting the subsequent steps.
No matter how big the technology group crane is, it will always be a headache when collecting the crane line...
The two black counterweight fixing blocks in the rear compartment of the turntable are divided into the 7th package, and if you cannot find parts in the assembly step of this 5th package, you can check it in the subsequent package.
The most confusing section of the whole manual, the third section of the gondola line in step 672 is completely lonely, plus Yuxing gave an original line that is far longer than the marked length, according to this set of drawings to walk the line will not only leave a considerable length of stubble outside the boom, the third section of the boom can not be retracted, which has a clear impact on the appearance and playability of the entire crane.
My personal solution is to refer to the original 42009 drawings, use the 0.47mm No. 8 fishing line to change two suitable length pull wires (you can also use the original line), and follow the original drawings of Lego to carry out internal wiring, so that the third section of the boom can be normally followed back and forth.

Quick overview of the finished product
Because the main changes are basically in the internal structure, the two complex gear shifting systems in the body and the turntable have been replaced by direct motor connections, and the size of the parts of this ultimate version 42009 (nominal 2,590 pieces) is slightly less than the original 42009 (2,606 pieces), and the size of the car body has basically not changed, compared with the flagship of the technology group of 3,000 to 4,000 pieces in recent years, the momentum of the boom storage state is indeed slightly inferior.
Of course, the momentum of the crane is not visible in the storage state (laughs).
Since the main all-electric remote control, the mobility of all mechanical structures of the whole vehicle is naturally the highlight. Thanks to the 8 motors with extremely strong power in the whole car, the basic front and rear movements, wheel steering, turntable rotation, boom lifting, horizontal and vertical retraction of the hoe, rope hoisting, and the two sections of the boom have corresponding motor drives, no need to shift gears back and forth like the original 42009, the ease of operation has been greatly improved, and it will be more fun to play.
But the fly in the ointment is that the two battery boxes placed in the car body and the turntable use the same channel, and only one battery box can be paired with the remote control at a time. In other words, when using the original remote control, the movable mechanism of the body and the turret cannot work at the same time, and to switch the control of the body and the turret, you need to first close the battery box and remote control that have been paired, and then start another battery box to rematch, this step is somewhat cumbersome.
And if you use Yuxing's app Bluetooth connection, switch the control of the car body and the turret or need to switch the connection between the two battery boxes, the stability of the Bluetooth connection is not as good as the remote control, occasionally there will be disconnection, in short, it is still not very convenient...
Because Yuxing modified the design of the steering mechanism M motor gear set, in the state of wheel grounding, the 8 steering wheels basically can not be back to the right, the wheel can be suspended to adjust back to the approximate straight line, and it is difficult for the whole car to maintain a straight line when traveling, if you are very concerned about this, you can replace the M motor here with a servo motor to solve the problem once and for all.
The first version of the yellow crane at the time of sale because Yuxing's large push rod needs to be stuffed into the spring, according to the original drawing assembly will affect the flat placement of the boom, had to change the installation angle of the pusher, the maximum lifting angle of the boom has a considerable impact. The current product on sale has been replaced by a new version of the putter, but the manual has not yet made the corresponding changes, the player can reinstall its putter according to the diagram, so that it can reach its maximum lift angle.
