In the 1990s, the Chinese women's ice hockey team was one of the world's top four teams, and since the International Ice Federation began to implement the points ranking system, the highest ranking of Chinese women's ice skating in history was 7th in 2005.

In April this year, Chinese men's and women's ice skaters will once again assemble to welcome the 2022 Ice Hockey World Championships.
