After graduating from high school, the 57-year-old Gu Qiusheng entered the printing factory, where he was exposed to the printing of ancient books and liked to load books online. In order to restore the ancient process of wire-bound books, Gu Qiusheng went to Jiangsu and Zhejiang many times to study and went to Anhui to select rice paper. For the written records of the production process of the line-bound book, he pondered word by word and experimented over and over again. The biggest feature of the wire-bound books we produce is the printing of rice paper by hand, because the rice paper is light and thin, its weight is less than half of the ordinary paper, and it "can't stand" on the modern printing press, but with the popularity of modern printing equipment, the formal printing machine has been eliminated, I also ran all over many places, and finally transformed and customized on the original equipment, produced a special printing machine suitable for rice paper.
【Commentary】In 2005, Gu Qiusheng opened the Wuqiao Jinding Ancient Books Printing Factory, and in 2006, Gu Qiusheng led the staff to complete the task of copying the "King Ding Ancient and Modern Book Integration" of the National Library of China, becoming a leader in the ancient book printing and line-bound book industry. After more than ten years of efforts, Gu Qiusheng's ancient book printing factory has developed into a Hebei provincial intangible cultural heritage project line bound book production technology protection unit, and the first base of the national line bound book application.
