James McGrew is an American painter. He is an artist member of the California Arts Club and a signatory member of the American Impressionist Association and the Laguna Outdoor Painters Association. He started using chalk at the age of 8 and his father's oil paint at the age of 10. Today, he is best known for his oil paintings, which interpret the national parks of the American West.
