At 15:59 Beijing time on March 27, the Tianzhou-2 cargo spacecraft withdrew from the space station core module assembly after completing all the scheduled tasks in the space station assembly stage.
The Tianzhou-2 cargo spacecraft is the first cargo spacecraft launched during the key technology verification phase of the Chinese space station. At 20:55 on May 29, 2021, the Long March 7 carrier rocket carrying Tianzhou-2 was launched on time at the Wenchang Cosmodrome, and then Tianzhou-2 was accurately sent into the predetermined orbit.
Tianzhou-2 carried 6.8 tons of supplies such as astronauts' daily necessities, extravehicular spacesuits and space station platform equipment, application payloads and propellants.
During the orbital operation of the Tianzhou-2 spacecraft, a series of extended application tests were carried out. At present, the Tianzhou-2 spacecraft is in good condition, and the follow-up will be selected to re-enter the atmosphere under ground control.
The three shenzhou thirteen astronauts have been working and living in the space station for more than 5 months, and according to the plan, they will work and live in orbit for about 180 days, and now they have entered the countdown to "going home". According to the Astronaut Training Center, the three astronauts will begin to enter the preparation phase of return this week.
It is understood that the physical condition and psychological state of the three astronauts in the current Shenzhou 13 crew are better than expected, meeting the conditions and needs of returning to the earth.
As the longest-running astronaut crew on the mainland, the three astronauts conducted two outgoing activities, two Tiangong classrooms, and a Dialogue between the Tiangong in Beijing, Hong Kong, and Macao during which they completed more than 20 scientific experimental tasks on the basis of Shenzhou XII.
At the same time, in order to welcome the three astronauts back to their homeland safely, the search and rescue detachment of the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, together with other search and rescue forces, carried out targeted training exercises at the Dongfeng landing field.
