North and Central America: Canada is one step away from the second World Cup trip

The 12th round of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar qualifiers for north America and the Caribbean took place. Currently, none of the teams have locked up World Cup tickets.

The North American qualifiers for this World Cup will be played in three rounds. The five highest-ranked FIFA teams (Mexico, the United States, Costa Rica, Jamaica and Honduras) went straight to the final round. The remaining 30 teams (CNCAF's French Guiana, Martinique and Guadeloupe are not FIFA members and do not participate) play two rounds of fighting to determine the three teams that will participate in the final round. In the end, Canada, El Salvador and Panama won, competing with the above five teams for 3.5 tickets.

The match that ended at noon today, Jamaica 1-1 El Salvador at home, Panama 1-1 Honduras at home, Costa Rica ended Canada's unbeaten record, beating Canada 1-0. Mexico home and the United States exchanged 0-0 white rolls.

After this campaign, Canada continued to lead the table with 25 points, and the United States and Mexico both accumulated 22 points, ranking 2-3 and occupying the direct promotion quota. After Costa Rica ended Canada's unbeaten record, the points rose to 19 points to fourth place. Panama ranked fifth with 18 points. The top five all qualify directly for the 2022 Fifaccia World Cup in Qatar. El Salvador, Jamaica and Honduras, ranked 6-8, have bid farewell to the 2022 Qatar World Cup ahead of schedule.
