Shareholder information shows that the company is wholly owned by BYD Automobile Industry Co., Ltd.
On December 27, 2021, the "Exclusive Clauses for Commercial Insurance for New Energy Vehicles of the China Insurance Industry Association (Trial)" was officially launched, requiring all new energy vehicles to be insured with new energy vehicle insurance.
In recent times, BYD has been in frequent motions, following the announcement on March 23 that it has reached a cooperation with NVIDIA on intelligent driving technology. From the first half of 2023, BYD will equip some of its new energy vehicles with NVIDIA's DRIVE Hyperion platform, so as to realize intelligent vehicle driving and intelligent parking.
It also recently signed a global strategic cooperation agreement with Shell to jointly promote energy transformation and work together to improve the charging experience of BYD pure electric vehicle (BEV) and plug-in hybrid vehicle (PHEV) users. The two sides will start the collaboration in China and Europe, and plan to expand this partnership globally.
