Feng Xi Feng Xi returned to his hometown and traveled around the world to seek his phoenix.

Sima Xiangru's vast endowment has been passed down through the ages,

In the southwest border of this small city - Sichuan Peng'an,

Still nostalgic, nostalgic.

She uses this to remind herself not to forget her original intentions

This is the origin of all her imaginations.

Spring back on the banks of the Jialing River, boats in the river, water birds flying on the river from time to time, buffalo on the island, and splashing waves from the running of teenagers... Liu Lingjie looked at these familiar scenes in front of her and painted them all on the glass to make a crystal clear glass painting.

At the Beijing Winter Olympics not long ago, she spent 20 days before the end of the Winter Olympics, and completed 5 glass paintings with the theme of "Phoenix Returns to The Hometown and The Winter Olympics". Free skating, figure skating and other competitive sports combine elements such as phoenix and Sichuan bamboo leaves to present them on the glass one by one, converging into her tribute to the Olympic spirit.

Painting a winter Olympic glass painting is a fate and a feeling for Liu Lingjie.

In 2008, when she was still in Beijing, she did a series of advertisements for the Tencent Olympics, and the images of multiple Olympic champions signing their small books are still vivid. After so many years, she still had a surge in her heart when she recalled the scene at that time, so she decided to cheer for the Olympic spirit and present gifts to the motherland in her own way, in her hometown.

"These five glass works combine the five rings of the Olympic Games, and the five colors express the Olympic spirit; the phoenix is also a traditional Chinese auspicious sacred bird, so 'Phoenix - HuangYao Winter Olympics presents its auspiciousness', which is the core spirit of my creation."

Her mother accidentally sent her a photo of her hometown, the street vendors were selling fresh vegetables, and through the photos she seemed to smell the smell of her hometown, and the grass and trees, bricks and tiles of her hometown kept popping up in her mind, making her move the idea of returning to her hometown.

The history of glass painting dates back to the colored glass of ancient Egypt, which was introduced to China in the 18th century by the Italian painter Lang Shining. During the Qing Dynasty, glass painting was a very precious kind of painting. Glass painting takes a long time to make, due to the transparent nature of the pigment, the lines need to be colored repeatedly, so the painter is required not only to have a certain artistic foundation, but also to master the translucency technique. Learning to paint since childhood laid the foundation for her to paint glass.

Initially, she painted small teacups with simple glass and ceramic paints to experience this traditional skill. One afternoon, the sun shone into the studio, shining on the glassware she painted, and the colorful patterns and glass shone in the sun, "I found that I had never seen such a beautiful object, and I felt a touch in my heart, thinking that I should seriously do something beautiful, even if the road was sparsely populated." In an instant, she strengthened her determination to do it.

I feel happy to be able to do what I love, it's my way of life, not the goal. ”

Retaining the traditional painting technique, Liu Lingjie uses mineral color and glass pigment combination, coupled with the unique texture of glass, and tries and breaks through time and again, so that the glass painting presents an unprecedented dreamlike picture.

"We had a hard time picking up the glass painting and hoping it would shine again." Compared with the previous glass paintings, the current works highlight the characteristics of glass, "the perfect combination of the transparent and shimmering picture and the glass, it will surely become a very precious and unique existence in the future." Liu Lingjie said confidently.
