Mercedes-Benz officially released the mercedes-AMG G63 "Edition 55" special edition official map, the new car is designed to commemorate the 55th anniversary of the establishment of AMG. Special Edition models will be available for order through October 2022, with more Special Edition models to be unveiled in the future.
Since its establishment in 1967, AMG has become a state-of-the-art R&D base, including an engine manufacturing plant for high-performance vehicles, employing more than 2,000 people. The Mercedes-Benz G model has a unique historical position, and it was the first to launch a special edition model on the occasion of AMG's 55th anniversary.
The Mercedes-AMG G63 "Edition 55" Special Edition is available in black and white paint colours, comes standard with 22-inch matte rims, and is available in the AMG Dark Night/Dark Night II set. The interior is a striking combination of red and black, with the words "Edition 55" appearing on the AMG high-performance steering wheel.
The new car is equipped with a 4.0T V8 engine, a maximum power of 430 kW, a peak torque of 850 Nm, three differential locks as standard, and a 9-speed transmission for power transmission. As a reference, the first AMG model of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class was introduced in 1999 to commemorate its 20th anniversary as an off-road legend. The original model, the G55 AMG, has a maximum power of 260 kW and a peak torque of 525 Nm.
