The well-known Youtuber @iAppleBytes recently compared the battery life performance of the iOS 15.4 system in 9 iPhones.
The test tool was scored by passing the Geekbench battery life test, and the test environment was 25% brightness, automatic brightness was turned off, and the charge was full to 100%.

Overall, iOS 15.4 has a certain battery life improvement for older iPhones, of which the iPhone SE 2 and iPhone 6s have the largest improvement, 34 minutes and 41 minutes respectively.
The battery life of the newer iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 has actually decreased, down by 12 minutes and 8 minutes, respectively.
At present, it is not certain that the additional power consumption caused by the "Wear Mask Recognition Face ID" function is not certain, because intuitively the "Wear Mask Recognition Face ID" only supports the iPhone 12 series and the iPhone 13 series, but such a short test cannot determine the additional power consumption caused by this function.
