Zhou Wei is a contemporary artist known for his ability to paint in many different styles, using a variety of techniques to make each piece unique and creatively expressing his work. Although he was trained in realism, classicism, academicism, neoclassicism, and traditional styles, he tended to prefer a more abstract expressionist style of painting, characterized by larger brushstrokes and compositions with strong, simple shapes and colors.
The skies in many of his paintings are pastel colors, with soft brushstrokes creating shadows and textures for the clouds. He prefers to paint landscapes and the outdoors, and the forms of nature and painting he sees on canvas tend to be more impressionistic in style—trees with soft branches, paint spots representing leaves, and slender shrubs along the road. There is often an atmosphere or mood that is expressed through the use of color – sunny days with bright colors, pastel tones and shades of gray, often combined with heavier brushstrokes to show the texture of cloudy, rainy and cloudy days.
Zhou Weihe grew up in Chongqing, China, and studied art since childhood. Graduated from the Oil Painting Department of the Fine Arts Department of Southwest Normal University. He went on to work as an art professor at a private school and then decided to work as an artist at Daphi Art Village, where he spent 10 years learning how to create a copy of a painting, known as an "original copy.". During this time, he improved his artistic skills while learning to imitate other styles, and expanded his study of Western and European art, including realism, surrealism, abstraction, expressionism, impressionism, and contemporary art.
Today, Zhou Wei is a professor of art at the Academy of Fine Arts of Chongqing Southern Translation Institute in China, and is also his own master of art. He is an active member of the artist community and continues to create new art and explore new styles of painting.

As an artist and art director, Zhou Wei has completed thousands of paintings in his career. Zhou Wei is also the curator of the V-Dimension Art Museum, which owns his entire museum, the Chongqing V-Museum, which is full of his works. He is a member of the China Artists Association, a director of the Chongqing Artists Association, and the vice chairman of the Chongqing Yubei District Artists Association.
On September 29, 2021, Zhou Wei was selected by the LABA International Arts Festival Organizing Committee as "the world's most influential shortlisted artists 150 big list".
