If you don't tell you, maybe you won't remember at all that this generation of Mazda CX-5 has been sold in China for a decade. Many people may not remember that the earliest CX-5 was also imported and sold for a period of time, but the starting price of the imported version 2.0L is 233,800 yuan, which is very niche.
It didn't take long for Changan Mazda to be domestically produced, and I also found out the configuration of the Mazda CX-5 when it was just domestically produced ten years ago. The same sub-low-end model, at that time, was still a traditional handbrake, no tire pressure monitoring, no various radar and reversing images, no cruise control, no sunroof, no rear adjustment, and the old model was still a remote control key at 180,000 yuan, halogen headlights, no rear exhaust air outlet, only CD players and AUX as entertainment systems, which was indeed very ancient.
While 2013 may not seem far away, the configuration feels like a product of the last century. For example, to enter the car, you also need to use the remote control key to unlock, listen to music or CD or find AUX lines, as for the touch screen, cruise control, LED headlights, these have not even been popularized in the 200,000 yuan joint venture car, now it is simply incredible.
It is also worth mentioning that at that time, the Mazda CX-5 only had two minimum two-wheel drive models, and four-wheel drive models accounted for four, and even the 2.0L was equipped with two four-wheel drive versions. This reflects that ten years ago, the joint venture car company believed that off-road in the Chinese SUV market is the core selling point, and buying a joint venture SUV is not four-wheel drive. Later, it was found that the main sale was actually two-wheel drive, so the next year Changan Mazda added a 2.0L model of about 190,000 yuan.
The CX-5 made an upgrade in 2017, although it is called "a new generation", but because there is no change in the powertrain and chassis, it can only be regarded as a relatively large mid-term change. The biggest change at that time was that the appearance of the big eye lamp was changed to "squinting", coupled with the overall upgrade of the exterior interior details, the entire product did evolve in the direction of "Premium" proposed by Mazda.
Unexpectedly, after another five years, Changan Mazda once again launched another mid-term redesign of the CX-5, fine-tuning the exterior and interior. Few changes come from the upgrade of the powertrain control software, the two-wheel drive model is equipped with the acceleration vector control system upgrade version GVC PLUS, and the four-wheel drive model adds the Off-Road Traction Assist off-road traction assistance system, which can only be said to be better than nothing.
The pricing of the new CX-5 has not changed much compared to the previous model, after removing the manual transmission model, the 175,800 yuan of the 2.0L entry model is 4,000 yuan less than the 2017 model five years ago, and the top model is 9,000 yuan less. If you compare with the version ten years ago, the same is 2.0L times low, the starting price of the new model is 8,000 yuan less, and the top match is less than 16,000 yuan. But this does not include the car purchase courtesy of close to 8,000 yuan given by Changan Mazda, which translates into a car price of at least about 5,000 yuan cheaper.
Of course, it may seem that the pricing change in ten years is not large, but considering inflation factors and configuration changes, the new models have actually become more competitive.
In terms of the sub-low of the main sales, the new CX-5 two-wheel drive Zhishang type of 183,800 yuan has more parallel assist, reversing side warning system, leather steering wheel, 7-inch LCD instrument, 10.25-inch central control large screen, automatic headlights, automatic wipers and so on than the 2017 model. Basically for the average family consumer, the 2.0L sub-low-end model is enough to use, only a few thousand more than the entry-level model, and the comfort configuration and technology configuration are in place.
Buyers who really have a sense of luxury can add 20,000 yuan to choose the elegant type of 195,800 yuan. This version has more electric tailgates, leather seats, main driver electric seats + heating, etc., counting the discount after the estimated 200,000 yuan can land.
This time, the Mazda CX-5 is a 2.5L model with more than 200,000 yuan, and the biggest selling point of this displacement is the addition of L2-level assisted driving system and 19-inch wheels. In fact, from the perspective of sales composition, only one of the five CX-5 sold is 2.5L displacement, how to choose has given the answer, can only be said to be the sale of goods love home.
