It is worth mentioning that Tatum became the second player in Celtic history to win the best honor of the week twice in the same month, the last being Pierce.
In last three games, Towns led the Timberwolves to a three-game win, averaging 38.3 points and 12.0 rebounds per game and shooting 60 percent from three-point range. In the game against the Spurs, Towns scored 60 points, setting a single-game scoring record in the NBA this season, a single-game scoring record for his career, and a single-game scoring record in team history.

It was Downs' third player of the week this season and the seventh of his career.
