After a long wait, GalaxyTrail finally confirmed that the 2D side-scrolling platformer Free Planet 2 will be released on September 13, and the game was originally scheduled to be released in the spring of 2022, but was postponed, and the developers on Twitter explained that this was caused by "unforeseen circumstances".
Free Planet 2 has only identified the PC side so far, and for other platforms, the developers said: "We are eager to release the game for multiple platforms at the same time as releasing the PC version, and these additional portings will require more time to test and certify than we expected." "Developers can't provide anything more detailed at the moment, but they'll share more details when the team is ready.
The company also noted that its lead developer, Sabrina DiDuro, who created the studio as a one-man team, had a hand injury. Therefore, while other team members are working on her work, extra time can also allow her to recover. Now that the core game is complete, fans can look forward to "more frequent updates" in September.
Free Planet 2 is currently available on the Steam platform and does not support Chinese.
