In a graphics test for geekbench 5, the Mac Studio on the M1 Ultra chip beat the 16-core Mac Pro, but scored half as much as the RTX 3090 PC. However, the RTX 3090 PC running score participating in the test is only based on OpenCL, and does not run Apple's royal Metal, and the Mac platform has basically abandoned OpenCL, and the running score cannot fully exert the strength of Mac Studio.
Gaming is even less of Mac Studio's forte, with the M1 Ultra Mac Studio surpassing the M1 Max versions of Mac Studio and MacBook Pro in the Tomb Raider: Shadow game test, but outperforming the RTX 3090 PC and Mac Pro, which features dual AMD Radeon Pro Vega II exclusives.
However, in terms of CPU performance, the performance of the M1 Ultra is a ride, Geekbench, Cinebench scores are far more than the 16-core Xeon processor Mac Pro, Geekbench 5 score lost to the 32-core AMD thread ripper 3920X with a small gap.
M1 Ultra's strength lies in some productivity projects, with a Puguetbench Adobe Premiere score of 1338 points and an AfterEffect score of 876 points, which is comparable to some of the top desktops with high-end CPUs and RTX 3090 graphics cards.
