In July 2021, a total of six members of the Shanghai Putuo District People's Hospital Aid Dian Medical Team (Lu Weiju, An Guiqun, Zhu Jianhuan, Song Hexiang, Ying Zhengran, Liu Xiang) corresponded to the Dongchuan District People's Hospital in Kunming, Yunnan Province, and carried out a one-year construction assistance work.
In the work of more than half a year, the team members have applied their own expertise and professional experience to practical work in their respective departments, and improved the professional ability of doctors in the department through teaching rounds, operation, surgical teaching, training and lectures; in the work, they have found the shortcomings of the department, jointly planned the future development of the department with colleagues, and improved various rules and regulations; at the same time, in order to better solve the problem of difficult and expensive medical treatment for the grass-roots masses, further promote the sinking of high-quality medical resources. Give full play to the role of grass-roots party organizations in the health system as fighting bastions and party members as vanguard models, so that the grass-roots masses in Dongchuan District can enjoy the high-quality medical services of Shanghai experts at their doorstep, improve the health level of the masses, and give medical staff in township health centers the opportunity to communicate face-to-face with Shanghai experts, and improve the medical technology level of township health centers.
New: New technologies and new ideas make a difference for hospitals
The medical team has brought new technologies and concepts, and has completed more than 300 various operations, many of which originally required provincial expert consultation or even transfer to Kunming Top 3 Hospital to carry out, of which the first case in Dongdongchuan was about ten categories, mainly covering urinary and gastrointestinal endoscopic technology, orthopedic minimally invasive surgery, posterior eye surgery, etc. At the same time, the Putuo medical team also brought new medical thinking, such as Dr. Liu Xiang of Urology and Dr. Zhu Jianhuan of the Department of Gastroenterology using the multidisciplinary diagnosis and treatment model (MDT) to deal with a complex case of multiple in situ tumors (which originally required multiple hospitalizations in Kunming), and solving two tumors at a time, saving costs and not needing to travel back and forth between Dongchuan and Kunming. In addition, remote consultation technology has also been gradually applied to clinical work, showing the hospital's spirit of "transmission, help, support, and belt", and gradually promoting online imaging, pathology reading, surgical guidance, online rounds and other "cloud service content, etc., with the help of Shanghai's medical advantages, for the benefit of the people of Dongchuan.
Supplement: Improve the system to fill loopholes, and combine teaching and research with the construction of departments
Dr. Lu Weiju of the Medical Department conducts a series of trainings on the quality of medical care according to the actual situation of the hospital, and helps to improve the relevant system processes. The team members regularly organize business studies and lectures in their respective departments, and Physician An Guiqun provides accurate and meticulous help and guidance on medical record writing, hospital infection prevention and control, and refined management of departments. Dr. Song Hexiang conducted special training on general practice in view of the insufficient use of OCT, and formulated a standardized process for vitreous injection. In order to fill the gap in the diagnosis and treatment of fundus disease in Dongchuan District, relevant topics were carried out in conjunction with the screening and circulation of fundus disease in township health centers around the country.
Hui: Actively participate in party building and free clinics, and benefit more local people
In the second half of 2021, the medical team members participated in more than 20 street free clinics organized by the Dongchuan Health Commission and Dongchuan People's Hospital, and in the large-scale roving free clinic party building activity of "I do practical things for the masses and send health red free clinics to health" carried out in the second half of 2021, the medical team went down to a total of 9 township (street) health centers under Dongchuan to carry out free clinics and technical help and teaching, improve the level of diagnosis and treatment of medical personnel in township health centers, and enable the grass-roots people to enjoy high-quality medical resources nearby. Each health center conducts at least 1 free consultation activity and technical help teaching. The local people have gradually learned that experts from Shanghai can be seen without Dongchuan, which has narrowed the distance between Shanghai experts and the masses, and further established a good image of Shanghai doctors.
Strong: Strengthen exchanges and interactions, and further improve support measures
Through special discussions, the cadres of Putuo District aided Dian and the medical talents of Putuo District People's Hospital on the one hand helped the doctors to solve the difficulties and problems encountered in their lives, so that they could devote themselves to the work of helping and supporting them in a better state; on the other hand, through communication and exchanges, they would better understand the weaknesses and shortcomings of health diagnosis and treatment in Dongchuan District. In more than half a year of medical assistance work, medical experts from Putuo District People's Hospital have provided us with many new ideas and methods for medical assistance. At the same time, the cadres who aid Dian will also exchange with the health department some of the experiences and practices of Liqun Hospital in Putuo District and Shanghai Pulmonary Hospital in helping Dongchuan over the years with the medical experts of Putuo District People's Hospital, so that their work of helping can reach a higher height on the shoulders of "predecessors". In recent years, Putuo District of Shanghai has helped build a medical and health service station diagnosis and treatment equipment improvement project through the cadres of Aid Dian, and also donated medical supplies and epidemic prevention materials to the local area, and the cadres and professionals of Aid Dian have strengthened their interaction and allowed professional medical talents to use better equipment and materials to provide better diagnosis and treatment services for the people of Dongchuan District.
