In fact, as early as the update at the end of February, there were Canadian car owners who found that the relevant updates of FSD were newly added, and now after the official opening, Canada will become the second region to launch the FSD function after the United States.

At present, the Tesla FSD function has not yet been fully realized, and the FSD Beta (Fully Autonomous Driving Beta) has been used in the United States, and this function is only recommended for drivers who choose to install or subscribe to the FSD function and have a high driving safety score. As of the fourth quarter of last year, more than 60,000 car owners had been tested.

Tesla's FSD Beta was first released in October 2020 and has been updated to FSD Beta 10.11. Last December, a Tesla Model 3 equipped with FSD Beta set off from SpaceX headquarters and drove 360 miles on autopilot to reach the original Tesla headquarters in Silicon Valley, without a manual takeover.

After the FSD Beta is turned on, enter a destination on the map to enable the vehicle to automatically navigate and drive on the road, complete point-to-point automatic driving from point A to point B, automatically enter and exit ramps, give way to pedestrians, pass through narrow roads, turn left without protection, and so on. At the same time, the display content of Tesla's central control or instrument equipped with FSD Beta function is also different from that of models that are not equipped.

Since the current function is still in the test state and theoretically still does not reach the L3 level automatic driving stage, Tesla requires drivers to maintain continuous attention to the road surface after turning on the FSD Beta function and take over the vehicle at any time.

At present, Tesla models in the Chinese market can also be equipped with FSD functions, but there is a big gap in functionality with the FSD Beta in the North American market. Vehicles with FSD models in China are only more than the standard Autopilot functions such as automatic parking and automatic navigation assistance driving, and the optional price is 64,000 yuan.

In December last year, some overseas media revealed that according to the content of the Tesla data code obtained, the FSD beta version has begun to be tested in the Chinese market, but there is no news when it will be launched.
