On March 17, the first car in THE BYD Marine Network Series, the Destroyer 05, was officially launched, and the new car was divided into five models, with a price range of 119,800 to 155,800. At the same time as the new car was listed, the official also announced a series of financial, replacement and other car purchase rights.
In terms of appearance, the new car adopts the new design of the BYD brand, and the most significant design feature of the front face is the overall downward movement of the middle net, in addition to the further increase in the grille area, the decorative strips extending to both sides of the bumper also make the entire front of the car look more low. The new style of headlights blends in with the transparent decorative panels under the bonnet and features a new brand logo with a flat design.
The lines on the side are more conventional, the prominent wheel arches echo the shape of the front and rear bumpers, and the slender D-pillar and short rear line form a visual effect similar to the fastback model. The taillights, which run through the rear part, are in line with current trends and echo the design of the front. In terms of size, the length, width and height of the new car reached 4780*1837*1495mm, and the wheelbase reached 2718mm.
Inside, the new car uses a symmetrical center console, and the matte metal trim in the center control part is equipped with black and white seats to create a good sense of layering, while looking quite fresh. In addition, the car is also equipped with intelligent voice, Bluetooth connectivity, NFC car keys and other technology configurations, and BYD's iconic 12.8-inch rotating screen will not be absent in high-end models.
In terms of driver assistance system, the two high-end models of the new car are equipped with DiPilot intelligent driver assistance system, which includes adaptive cruise, lane keeping, pedestrian recognition active braking, parallel assist, front and rear collision warning system and other configurations.
In terms of power, the new car is fully equipped with a DM-i plug-in hybrid system, and its internal combustion engine part is a 1.5L engine code-named BYD472QA, with a maximum power of 81 kW (110 hp) and a maximum torque of 135 Nm. The total power of the system provides two kinds of power according to different mileage, namely 132kW (179 hp) and 145kW (197 horsepower), corresponding to the WLTC pure electric mileage of 46km and 101km, respectively.
