Xu Chunfeng, female, born in 1963, is a farmer in Butou Village, Belei Township, Fotang Town, Yiwu City, Zhejiang Province. Since childhood, he has a strong interest in art, clothing and painting, and followed his grandmother to learn traditional folk paper-cutting, helped his parents to do farm work, raised chickens and cattle, dug wild vegetables, and caught fish in ditches after school, and had a rich experience in rural life.

Since then, Jinhua, Beijing and Shanghai have accumulated colorful urban life experiences for many years, especially the art exhibitions of major art museums and museums, which not only broadens her horizons, but also greatly enriches her artistic connotations. She loves the flying image in the Dunhuang murals, and has a special love for modern art, absorbing nutrients from the modern paintings and paper-cutting of masters such as Matisse and Picasso, and gradually shifting from decorative and symmetrical traditional folk paper-cutting to abstract and exaggerated modern paper-cutting.

In 1993, seeing that there were wall calendars for sale in the market, I suddenly thought: Can I use hanging calendars to cut paper? So I used the wall calendar to try to cut all kinds of fruits, animals, and abstract figures. Later, I found a lot of old pictorials and pictures from the waste station, and created a lot of paper-cut works. This kind of paper-cutting is different from the traditional paper-cutting, with rich colors and strange changes, so it is named "smart color paper-cutting". In the past 30 years of exploration efforts, more than 3,000 works have been accumulated.

From September 26, 2021 to March 8 this year, she held three consecutive personal "smart color paper-cutting" exhibitions in her rural home in Yiwu City, and Yiwu City Television Station, Jinhua Television Station, Jinhua Daily, and Zhejiang Daily successively made special reports, and recently pushed to the national "Learning to Strengthen the Country" channel, as a "typical grassroots female artist who is eager to learn and promising", launched nationwide.
