Reuters news said that the World Health Organization (WHO) revealed to Reuters on the 10th local time that the WHO recommended that Ukraine destroy the "high-threat pathogens" in its public health laboratories to prevent "any possible leakage" and thus spread the disease among the people.
Reuters said at the beginning that biosecurity experts said that Russia's troops to Ukraine and the bombing of some cities in Ukraine increased the risk of damage to the above experimental facilities and the leakage of pathogens. And like many other countries, public health laboratories in Ukraine are looking at how to mitigate the threat of dangerous diseases that affect both animals and humans, including the recent coronavirus. Its laboratories are also supported by the United States, the European Union and the WHO.
In response to a question from Reuters about Russia's cooperation with Ukraine before and during its "invasion" of Ukraine, the WHO replied in an email that the organization had worked with public health laboratories in Ukraine for several years to promote security measures that help prevent the "accidental or deliberate release of pathogens."
