[Aika Car Domestic New Car Original]
On March 8, 2022, the Mazda CX-60 was officially released, along with Mazda's new rear-drive longitudinal architecture, SKYACTIV Multi-Solution Scalable Architecture. In the future, the brand will release a series of new cars based on this model architecture, including the CX-70 (North American market), CX-80 (European market) and CX-90, and the highly anticipated new generation of Mazda 6 sedans will also be built on the platform.
Mazda CX-60 is basically the same as the official map information we reported earlier, it is worth mentioning the power system of the car, in addition to the plug-in hybrid model of the 2.5L engine + electric motor previously revealed, the two inline 6-cylinder engines previously rumored have finally had further information. According to the current official information, the inline 6-cylinder gasoline engine has a displacement of 3.0L, and like the 2.0L compression-ignition engine on the current Mazda-3, this 6-cylinder engine will also use further improved compression ignition technology. While not revealing technical details and specific parameters, officials made it clear that the new engine will have "smooth acceleration and a compelling soundwave."
The other diesel engine, with a displacement of 3.3 liters and also an in-line 6-cylinder structure, benefited from technical improvements that significantly reduced nitrogen oxide emissions at high speeds, and like gasoline engines, Mazda did not publish data on diesel engines. The only certainty now is that both new engines will be powered by a 48V hybrid system called the M Hybrid Boost.
