Freehand character painting is based on sketch modeling, while running the foundation, I also continue to think, starting from my favorite substances, such as novels, opera characters, daily necessities and vehicles in the modern environment, etc., through continuous attempts to sort out, find the pen and ink objects in my eyes, just like I have a special love for cars, I will combine my understanding of pen and ink with the way people think at the moment, so that it is expressed in the picture; He also finds his favorite storyline and interested character images from traditional painting, and integrates traditional and contemporary contrasts, thus painting the intersection of two time and space, crossing different lifestyles and pen and ink artistic conceptions.
In my opinion, art is the cognition of life, and the height of art is the height of cognition of life. Refining the texture of temperament from life, integrating the resilience of fun, making the picture more full and fulfilling without losing the expression that Chinese painting should have, and establishing a more direct resonance with the viewer, this is my understanding and cognition of art, and it is also my attitude towards life.

About the Author
Shen Peng, born in 1987, graduated from Harbin Normal University. He is a member of the China Artists Association, the Heilongjiang Provincial Artists Association, the vice president of the Harbin Youth Painting Academy, and the member of the Chinese Painting Art Committee of the Harbin Artists Association.
His works were selected for the 6th National Youth Art Exhibition, the 9th National Sports Art Exhibition, the 7th 8th Beijing International Biennale, and the 13th National Art Exhibition. His works have been collected by art institutions such as the National Art Museum of China and the Heilongjiang Art Museum.
