The choice of the MMA in the era of industrialization

The choice of the MMA in the era of industrialization

Masvejdal's loss didn't come as a surprise to us, after all, the odds before the game were very bullish on Covington. After the game, Cavington also murdered Masvedahl as a street trash and the ATT Top Team as an American trash team. Covington's previous words and deeds have angered many ATT players, and after winning the game this time, not only did they not accumulate words, but verbal attacks intensified. Still, the hype of commercial events is largely in the hands of the winners. This time, both Masvedar and the ATT team lost dumbly and suffered a considerable loss. To make matters worse, with Cavington's "mutiny", "Lioness" Nunez leaving, Woodley retiring (strictly speaking Woodley spends most of his training in the branch), and Romero's physical function declining, ATT no longer has the top fighters.

The lack of a master of the tangle system not only hints at the gradual singleness of the team's style, but also makes the other members of the team lack sufficient experience and guidance to deal with the fight. At the moment, I get the impression that atts generally have excellent standing skills that adapt to their respective styles. However, once you enter the field of entanglement, you will lose a lot of aggression, become more conservative and cautious, and at the same time relatively restrict the level of standing.

This sign of ATT has been revealed in previous years, but at that time, there were a few people such as Cavington and Nunez who held up the att's tangled banner. With the dust settled on the changes of the past two years, it is now possible to slightly count the atT members who are currently playing in the UFC: the former UFC heavyweight champion and the veteran Arovsky, who currently maintains a good momentum. Alofsky studied Sambo in his early years and moved from JW to ATT after a losing streak. The development of various techniques is relatively average, and its boxing skills are old and sophisticated, and the general preference is for standing style.

The lightweight "Hammer of Quake" Santos, after rising from the middleweight to the light heavyweight, has played a beautiful 4-game winning streak. Its thunderous low sweep and heavy punch made the Great Demon King Jones also suffer a lot. Due to problems such as increasing age and knee injuries, the weaknesses in fighting have gradually been magnified, and the playing style has become more conservative. Although it is a black belt of Ba rou, it rarely shows its level of jiu-jitsu.

Masvidar, a sub-midweight "fighting dog", is the holder of the "BMF" belt and a master of explosive assault strikes. Its fall defense and lower defense and counterattack are good. After entering the fight, you can stay calm and patiently crack the opponent's ambush technique. Masvedar is also one of the few contestants who was hung up by the "jiu-jitsu ceiling" Maya for three rounds of small school bags, but failed to surrender. In addition, Masvedar has previously subdued the stalker Kiesa in the light weight. Overall, Masvedahl is very defensive when he enters the fight, and the lower elbow strike can give good damage if given the opportunity to cast. Anti-fall is more dependent on the edge of the cage, and in order to prevent falling, from time to time, the original well-defended frame is lowered, increasing the risk of being hit. A body that is biased toward explosive power struggles can hardly provide the high-intensity physical strength of a five-round fight.

Lightweight former interim champion, "Diamond" Poirel. Excellent standing technique, with its meticulous and continuous heavy blows to defeat Gage, Avarez, Connor, Holloway, Hawke and other standing masters. After losing to Kitty, he strengthened some of his fighting abilities and was also a jiu-jitsu black belt. The overall anti-fall still relies on the cage edge, and when the opponent belongs to the entanglement master, it will become too resistant to the entanglement, and the reaction after entering the entanglement is slightly insufficient.

Currently in the featherweight "leg king" Barbosa, he joined the ATT team when preparing for Gage. At an early age, due to his family's poverty, he did not have the conditions to learn jiu-jitsu and wrestling, and could only earn money by learning Muay Thai. Even after starting his MMA career, he still lacked sufficient fighting training guidance, resulting in a congenital lack of fighting ability. Although it has a good fall resistance rate in the lightweight level, it is very bad once it enters the ground. Last week, he also regretted losing the game due to the shortcomings of the fight.

Munoz, the "young punisher" in the weedweight, gained attention for koing over former UFC welterweight champion Gabrand in the first leg. As a judo brown belt, a jiu-jitsu black belt, and a solid fighting skill, Munoz also performed well on the stand, with full power and strong punches, and at the same time excellent in fighting blows (never KO/TKO). The disadvantage is that whether fighting or standing, the reaction is inferior to that of the top players, and losing the game is often controlled by the opponent.

Former UFC women's strawweight champion "Alien Queen" Joanna has a lot of experience in Muay Thai and kick boxing competitions. Leaving aside its excellent standing level, its anti-fall and cage-edge entanglement handling are very strong. In addition to the weight of the fly being suppressed by the "bullet" Shepchenko, it was quite difficult to drag her into the ground at the grass scale. In my opinion, Joanna best represents the characteristics of ATT, fierce and superb standing blows, reasonable physical distribution, excellent cage edge defense and countermeasures.

In summary, it can be found that standing hard and hard with ATT members may not be a wise choice. These people have different strike styles, but ATT always has a way to maximize their standing strikes. However, the common disease is almost all in the field of entanglement. As long as they are clearly threatened by a fight, the ATT elite members are likely to face the embarrassing situation of "not being able to make it", and it is likely to become more and more awkward as the game deepens. This well-known big-name boxing gym naturally understands that it cannot be biased, and it also adds a lot of wrestling and jiu-jitsu to its daily training and preparation. Judging from the effect of the game, it is not very ideal.

So what causes this? I've never been to any of these big names, and it's hard to get in touch with the training of top players. You can only make some guesses through the information revealed by the big names, the form of the game, the results, and your own analysis.

First of all, I would like to explain that ATT is still a top big name boxing gym. This kind of big-name boxing gym generally has the following elements: senior coaches and sparring partners in various fields; excellent facilities and equipment; huge training venues; and excellent players from all over the world with different styles. However, not only ATT, almost every big boxing gym has encountered two dilemmas in recent years: the first is that it is difficult to cultivate champions again, not to mention the kind of "goat" that has defended the title many times. After Habib's retirement, AKA currently does not have a championship. JW, ATT, Sanford, Alpha Boy Band, King's College, RVCA, Samsung, this series of established boxing gyms do not currently exist. Only City Kickboxing has a training relationship with middleweight champion Adisanya and featherweight champion Wokanovsky (Wocanowski has gone to other gyms to prepare for the fight due to the epidemic and other factors), Xtreme culture has reached a training relationship with heavyweight champion Nagano.

The second is that the player's style and weaknesses are easily homogenized, and the convergence means that the risk of being targeted by the opponent is increased. Like Sanford (formerly known as 365 Heavy Strikes), who likes to cultivate wrestling tough guys, they can almost all shoot a terrifying wave of critical hits. The Dutch kick-and-punch attack mode, combined with the wrestler's forehand to prop up the distance/harassment, followed by the backhand of the heavy punch, does maximize the impact. Firepower boosts come at the expense of defensive weakening. Wrestlers stabilize their center of gravity and balance, their heads and spine are at the midline and barely move, and their undefended heads become clear and easy targets. Sanford's members can usually hit fairly high-quality hits in the early stages, but they can't continue to explode, resulting in being taken over by an opponent who survives. It gives the impression of betting all the winning chips on the initial critical hit, and if you don't end your opponent, you are likely to be ended. Chandler, Bronson, and Burns all have this "gambling" color.

Alpha boy band likes high-speed and tough combat mode, whether it is wrestling or standing, the degree of fighting is relatively hot, and the tactical execution is also very resolute. But Connor once ridiculed that alpha boy bands like to punch and punch without skills, and once they are blocked, they have to deal with it with a guillotine. Although this sentence is arrogant and cannot be taken completely seriously, it also tells the truth that its flexibility and adaptability are slightly lacking. Its team members such as Gabrant, Geda, Fibo, and Mendes are very representative of this style. Like Samsung, JW and other styles and tactics are more extensive, the training of players tends to be diversified, and more emphasis is placed on the strict tactical execution of each game. However, judging from the record of the players currently active in the UFC, the results are not satisfactory. After reducing the intensity of training, the injury rate of the players has dropped significantly, but it is difficult to reproduce the glory of the four heavyweight championships of that year. Fortunately, the infusion of new blood from Kitty Habib and younger Russian players has brought a very impressive update to the AKA team's good fighting skills.

In contrast, those relatively small boxing gyms have grown quite rapidly in recent years. The MMA factory in France, the MMA Master in Covington, oliveira's "Golden Team", The New England Union where Fonte and Qatar are located, The Feather Ready coached by Saihudo, the onx run by Coach Trevor, and so on. These gymnasiums produce elite players who are no less competitive than big-name gyms. Coach Trevor is the most representative, emphasizing that players must obey their own commands, while stating that he is only responsible for a small number of players. Therefore, the players who want to train are very picky, and the requirements for usual training are quite high. It is this almost strict standard that allows Trevor to currently have two strong champions, Rose and Usman, and a Gage who is about to challenge the lightweight championship. He also set a record of UFC 268 leading the three lovers to major victories overnight. The "small boxing gym" represented by onx will focus more energy on the top players, polish the technology more finely, control the training rhythm more strictly, and formulate a more suitable competition plan for the players.

This model is naturally very different from the current big-name boxing gyms. The players of the big name boxing gym train together on a daily basis, and the number of people is so large that it is impossible to take care of every detail. Even when it comes to the preparation period, more targeted training is needed, and coaches are easily distracted by other teammates who compete in the same or similar dates. JW Boxing Gym has had a lot of contradictions over such problems, resulting in the departure of famous players such as "Cowboy" Ceroni. In fact, it is difficult to blame the coach for being eccentric, but there are too many players to play the game, and the energy is really limited. SBG head coach Kavanagh also revealed that after playing in the United States with players, he immediately flew to Europe to help another team member, which is a great test for the body and brain.

Because of the good training environment, coupled with their own talent and hard work, the players of the big-name boxing gym can often stand out quickly among the large number of players. As the level of opponents improves, it is becoming more and more difficult to enter the top 15, top 10, top 5 and even compete for the championship. If you don't try to tailor it to your own situation as much as possible, the more you go up, the more you lose. Because there are always opponents who will find out their own cards and rules, they have not officially started playing, and they are at a disadvantage in the preparation process. In fact, the big-name boxing gym did not have such a large scale at the beginning, and the birth of the big boxing gym was almost synchronized with the development of MMA, almost all of which were founded by players who had played famous earlier. Most of them are founded by the founders from a small scale to work hard, and after the boxing gym became famous, it received more and more investment and sponsorship, and only in the past few years has it developed into a boxing gym like the scale of a factory. The players cultivated by such boxing gyms are also very similar to industrial products that can be mass-produced and of decent quality, but it is very difficult to go to a higher level and be very meticulous. When the system of several of the players achieves good results, it is natural to promote it to other members, and the style characteristics of each big-name boxing gym are gradually fixed.

For young players, entering a big boxing gym is still very promising. Under the leadership of senior coaches, training with different teammates is very beneficial for their own growth. When it comes to forming my own system, having enough financial resources, and increasingly strong opponents, I think it is necessary to consider whether to adjust the team members. This does not mean betraying the division, but making reasonable preparations according to their own needs. This is true of Aldo, Shepchenko, Jones, Nagano, GSP and other top players. Some completely change the team, some have the head coach unchanged, but the standing coach, jiu-jitsu coach, fitness coach, nutritionist and other members make appropriate adjustments. GSP not only trained at Samsung that year, but also went to JW and other boxing gyms to receive guidance. Depending on the preparation situation, he can decide whether to hire a French Muay Thai coach or a Thai local Muay Thai coach. He even invited coach Roach, a boxing star with no previous experience with MMA, to serve as his corner team for the match against Bispin. It can be said that GSP's team is different every time, but he has always maintained a good relationship with various coaches and teammates. This treatment of GSP is still of great significance today, when MMA boxing gyms are gradually industrialized.
