It turned out that Xu Ke's team wanted to shoot a movie, and after being introduced by the Wushu Sports Management Center of the State General Administration of Sports, they came from Beijing to choose some actors.

Director Xu Ke also told a few jokes to ease the atmosphere. Each of our five or six division brothers auditioned for about half an hour. After the audition, everyone took a picture.

Two days later, one weekend, I received a notice: Director Xu Ke invited me to dinner at the Bell Tower Hotel.
During the banquet, director Xu Ke said that Zhao Zilong's appearance and personality were in line with the role in the movie, and asked my coach whether he agreed to the participation of the team members.
My coach thought about it and said, "Life is like a drama, no matter what field you are in, you have to live a wonderful life." Director Xu is a big celebrity in the film industry, zhao Zilong can have the honor to participate in your film is his honor, but he is recently preparing for the promotion of Sanda King, I heard that filmmaking is also very hard, I don't know if he can stick to it, but also do not delay the game. ”

From the first day after receiving the announcement, the crew began to divide the work to prepare, the actor's hairstyle, body type, costume, audition, photo shoot, back line... A series of preparations are made to get the actor into the role faster.
During the day, intensive preparation for the movie, in the evening, two hours of training, preparing for the Chinese martial arts Sanda King Championship.
Dedicated "ghost talent" director
Director Xu Ke is respected by the industry as a "ghost director". But the deepest impression left on me by Xu Dao was his dedication and pursuit of perfection.
In almost every fight scene, Xu Dao had to communicate with the martial arts instructor in detail, using his hands to compare the appearance of the lens; following behind Wu Xing, seeing whether the camera angle was appropriate during shooting, and striving to perfectly capture the best action picture. If he doesn't get the shots he wants, the whole crew won't finish work. Therefore, overtime shooting is commonplace.

I remember one shot that was shot repeated 18 times. It was a fight between me and Teng Jun (who played Zhao Wei in the movie), and it was filmed at more than 2 a.m. At the end of the shooting, my calf actually cramped, and the hard work was self-evident.
After each NG (director shouts to stop), Director Xu has to personally go to the ring and communicate repeatedly with the actors and photographers to tell what kind of picture he wants and what to do to be more perfect.

In the movie "Sanda", the "Iron Dragon" I played was a professional Sanda athlete who was honest and kind, and had the dream of a champion. "Iron Dragon" is particularly in line with my real life appearance: under the careful guidance of the coach, I dream of realizing my championship dream as soon as possible to repay my family and coach.
What movies and competitions have in common is that success requires a serious attitude towards work, conscientious professionalism and perseverance; the two are not the same, and the technical actions in the film can be more exaggerated and the plot more dramatic. In reality, the game is more cruel and direct, simple and unpretentious, and there is no director to stop.
There were also some windfalls from filming the movie Sanda.
The martial arts instructor of the film crew and the teacher Zhang Hongjun, the actor of "Iron Dragon Father", are the star coaches of our sanda industry. On set, I would ask them for advice on Sanda techniques and tactics and how to adjust the psychology of the game.

Twenty years later, I watched the movie "Sanda"
In the 2004 theatrical premiere of the movie "Sanda", I was invited to attend the premiere. After watching it, my feeling is that my performance in the movie is not perfect, whether it is a fight or an emotional scene, there is still a lot of room for improvement.
The filming of the film also brought me good luck. In the Sanda King arena, my performance was like a miracle. I began to let go of the baggage, enjoy the process of the game, enjoy the rhythm of the game that combines attack and defense, enjoy the action of playing a surprising victory, and turn the Sanda ring into my performance stage. In the 2002 Chinese Wushu Sanda King Championship, I went all the way through the barriers and finally won the champion (champion) of the Sanda King over 85 kg.
From shooting Sanda films, I learned a lot of knowledge and life experience outside of my major, which made my life more colorful.
Twenty years later, come back to this movie. I think it's a good inspirational film: the protagonist, Zhang Guoqiang (played by Sang Weilin), is also a true portrayal of the spiritual world of many martial arts sanda athletes.
A martial arts teenager who came out of the countryside, starting from the junior martial arts routine champion, found himself in the bustling city, overcome his arrogance and inferiority psychology step by step, through the competition, defeated the opponent to overcome himself, became a hero, and found his own glory and love.
